How did you manage to trick that poor lady into marrying you?
Hearing from a number of people within GOVT circles a complete lockdown announcement coming. Could be as early as tomorrow. They ain't playing Thursday. These players are people too. Gambling with peoples health is dead set wrong. You cannot isolate them 24/7. Reckon AFL stalling so Govt makr decsion for them no other reason. Hearing all 3 racing codes will be off until at least 13/4 too.

I think I read somewhere if the government forces them to not play in activates the force majeure clause in the tv rights contracts which excludes them from any contractual obligations

Have been looking forward to tomorrow for weeks... but unfortunately it's not going to happen.
The biggest danger here is mental health rather than physical health, in a society already rife with suicide, depression, anxiety and a cocktail of other issues re self medication. People are losing work, companies are losing money, people are in isolation, people are anxious about the hysteria and then to make things worse the best course of action is to stop gatherings of people, which essentially ends all forms of community and entertainment....
Those romans had it easy back in the days of barbaric and cruel emperors and living in shit and piss. At least they still had the fighting pits to watch!!!
It'sa kick in the nuts to lose sports and this stuff which are essential to the wellbeing of communities from a mental health perspective but unfortunately it's the necessary steps that must be taken from a physical health perspective.
At least it's kick starting some conversations and behaviour changes - progress only comes when faced with adversity.

No non-essential gatherings inside of under 100 people. If my calculations are correct, 2 full squads of players, plus umpires, plus camera men, plus commentators, plus medical staff, plus security equates to over 100.

Now that Scott Morrison has cleared the AFL, it’s up to the AFL to make a decision once again. Will the actually make one today though? I guess we’ll find out soon
