The club is trying to get back in to Royal Pines due to the proximity to Metricon and the training grounds. Simmo said in his presser yesterday that they will be staying at one of two venues. Not mentioned was that it will either be kicking out one of bombers/bulldogs from Royal Pines or staying at Sanctuary Cove.

What's disappointing though is that clubs wanting the best preparation for their finals campaign is somehow a story.

I get they want to get there but i would surprised they said for the Bombers & WB to be out of there as they are not finals bound considering we have to play those two teams soon.

They would have said it to the AFL, with the expectation that the AFL speaks to those two clubs with some kind of confidence.

Bit of a dog move to then use that as motivation in the playing group to make us out to be bad guys, but whatever.

Edited my post above, but Simmo basically confirmed it to be true in his presser yesterday when he said that the venue we stay at was one of two options currently before the AFL.

It was suggestion from the club, and their strong preference. The AFL put to the two clubs.

My guess is that we will move into sanctuary cove with a view to move after Thursday's game.

A few of the clubs have had to move, especially around that period when when went back to WA and GWS/Swans moved to QLD etc.

Imagine being motivated to win a game of footy because you like you current digs, as opposed to playing for your club and the jumper.

Some teams (bulldogs) have strange priorities.

I reckon the banter would be pretty good if one of them need to leave to accommodate us.

Lloyd may be in the bottom 20th percentile for IQ but that gives in 4M or so mates depending how you plot it

I don't want bulldogs or bombers to have any extra motivation when we face off against them.

My hope is the AFL approve us playing Kangaroos at Optus in R18 and we only spend 17 days in QLD.

You dont think if the AFL said "Hey, we are going to give you away games as home games as long as you give us the gate revenue" we would say yes?
