What makes my blood boil is when they show footage of Lynch copping a punch to the guts from Collins (second half of the clip). He then gets into a scuffle with a gold coast player, pushes him in the chest and it slips high and brushes his neck and chin. Isn't that the exact same sh*t that got Gov a week in rnd 2?

It’s just an absolute galling piece of “punditry” that whole clip. They really are the media darlings the Tigers aren’t they? It’s literally bordering on sycophantic.

Compare how they brush off Lynch shoving Witherden’s head into the ground to the pile on from the Vic media last year when Vardy shoved Gawn after Flyin took that massive hang? Absolute chalk & cheese opinions on what was definitely an uglier incident from Lynch. All that before you get onto the behind the play gut whacks and faux tough guy shaping up nonsense he went on with.

Don't you hate former players/opposition club presidents/Victorian TV personalities commentating Eagles games and having no clue about the players, the club, the rules or a general sense of impartiality? Why not listen to a very openly biased call focusing on the Eagles from some or your favourite* Eagles board posters!

The Eagles board podcast crew is weighing up the possibility of doing a live call of one or more of the QLD hub games, potentially starting with Richmond next week. The commentary would be streamed live, free on your computer/phone, and would just be a very Eagles focused call of the games while you watch it synced up at home.

Its ****ed but I think they combined his strike with how he threw someone into the fence and decided to give him a week based on those actions as a whole.

Not sure the AFL could shut it down, especially if it was free.

They may also realise that the tripe being served up through official channels is currently inedible and perhaps look at ways of making it more appealing.

Imagine if St Kilda finishes below West Coast on percentage only and GWS scrapes into eighth.

Suddenly, the Saints would be in a cutthroat battle against last year’s grand finalist with no home ground advantage, meanwhile the Eagles – equal on wins with St Kilda – are on a neutral ground playing for a place in the last four.

Not withstanding the shit situation that the greater Victorian public are in, I take great satisfaction listening to the Vic clubs and media shit themselves over the fact that they have to be inconvenienced by the current circumstances to keep the game alive.

Unfortunately, the positives that have occurred from the pandemic in the sense of businesses reviewing their practices won't flow on to the AFL, and it will be back to business as normal as soon as possible.
