had a great first half of the season where people were even talking up as AA worthy.
I know you're being facetious, but how can you honestly say that the bloke is physically competing in his role?Let’s delist Kennedy........

At one point he had something like 5 contested possessions out of 15 or so. He tracks so poorly that all he can do is sit out the back for a handball or spill like a suburban footballer.
Challenge for everybody here that's so certain on Kennedy: write down what you think he's strengths and weaknesses are, and which of his strengths are AFL quality, and which of his weaknesses are unacceptable at AFL level.
Provide footage if you can, but actually break down what you think you're seeing on the football field. I'm genuinely curious.
Maybe when I'm posting on this forum, I'm communicating to a parallel universe where Matt Kennedy is a former state level sprinter? Who the fu** knows these days.
Yes fair call, still think at present we have underachieved with draft picks used. You can never tick every box from the draft, look at the players Saints and Lions have traded in
Freo have a draft deficit so we will be picking before them regardless. If freo lose by more than 20ish we get pick 8, otherwise it's pick 7.
Give us a break Jimmie. His inside work, marking, linking and kicking was top notch tonight. If you found an issue with his game tonight then you are just running around with blinkers.

Mate he finished with 11 contested possessions, 6 clearances, 4 tackles 13 pressure acts and 70% disposal efficiency. He's a great contested player, which we don't have many of outside of Cripps and Curnow. I think you're wrong here mate.I know you're being facetious, but how can you honestly say that the bloke is physically competing in his role?

Priority needs to be clean ball users.
Witherden, Merrett and Wiliams are fit this bill.
I don’t want Saad at all, all he does is run 15m and then bomb it to no one.

Not every player can have the spread and endurance of elite runners like Walsh and curnow. He's hands in the contest were clean in horrible conditions.What. Inside. Work.
You can get a clearance without winning first or second possession from the stoppage. Don't look at a stats sheet and tell me how he played.
He's not though, that's actually delusional...Mate he finished with 11 contested possessions, 6 clearances, 4 tackles 13 pressure acts and 70% disposal efficiency. He's a great contested player, which we don't have many of outside of Cripps and Curnow. I think you're wrong here mate.
It's not that he's not the best, it's that he's arguably the worst aside from 1 or 2 ruckmen in every game. His body is not up to the task of AFL football: his skills and game sense cannot cover for this. Not every player can have the spread and endurance of elite runners like Walsh and curnow. He's hands in the contest were clean in horrible conditions.
Oh my..so the stats sheet is wrong? Everyone else is wrong but you? Can you confirm you are saying he didn't get 11 contested possessions? Second highest for the team? He's not though, that's actually delusional...
Give me your definition of a contest possession, because I don't think you actually understand what that is.
I would keep Kennedy and say bye to Casboult, keep Murphy and not sure about Betts, maybe with a better functioning forward line he may be OK but slowly replace him in side morrGone:
Kreuzer
Simpson
Goddard
Lang
O'Dwyer
B Silvagni
Macreadie
Moore
Polson
50/50:
Kennedy
Apparently being offered deals but surely we might reconsider:
Casboult
Murphy
Betts
Anyone see it differently to that?
So, we come out holding a pick #7. Pretty handy commodity.
I think we may trade that down. Maybe to Geelong for their current #15 & #16 and use those picks at the trade table.
Geelong already hold the #11 that GC gave them last year....so maybe.

Think that's pretty near spot on. I'd tell Betts it's time.Gone:

Plow is close to the best lockdown defender of smalls in the AFLI think Plowman would welcome Saad with open arms, won't have to play on the slippery guys anymore
Dow and 7 for 11, 15 and 16 I'd do, but they wouldn't. Would give us a good trade hand though.Would Geelong look to upgrade their picks? Not a bad deal for us, enables the acquisition of Saad and somebody else with speed and footskills on our radar.

I had hopes for Polson but he has likely played his last game for the club on the back of that. Love the endeavour but hasnt the class for AFL.
