Been nothing but excellent since he entered the league.

If Zac Williams can get 800k as a half back, what is a reliable KPF worth?

Zac Williamsis the exception, not the rule. For a half back who is very poor defensively, I just don't get it.

Would love him at the Dee's.

His trade worth will be interesting by the sounds of it. If he gets squeezed put of the pies it implies he's not worth much, conversely he's going to attract offers of 5-600k pa from rival clubs which makes him a 1st rounder.

In what world? Despite what a lot of posters try to claim for some reason, there is no causal link with what a club is willing to pay a player salary wise and what they are willing to trade in capital.

There are so many variables. It's a simplistic and incorrect way of looking at what a players worth will be.

Mason Cox will be earning $550k next season. Makes other deals look phenomenal and could be a big reason why someone like Mihocek is able to be shaken loose.

I just don't get it.

"Looked after", off the record payments? After dicking him around for three years on the rookie list?

Come to Adelaide Brody, we've got stacks of legal cash to splash and first pick in the PSD if needed
He's not been dicked around at all. He's been on the rookie list, but its not like he's been paid a rookie wage

You still giving Camry Crows cars to every new recruit and their families?

Why would any player want to join Adelaide unless they are home sick/have absolutely no choice whatsoever?

Don't you know that we are paying Zac Williams $10 million a year, for 5 years. With bonuses etc it could be $15 million a year?

If you didn't know that, then you know now. :$:)

Apparently offered $1 mil over 3 years, which is around $333k per year, a significant upgrade on his previous contract, but can see why he may want to cash in seeing this is probably his last chance to set himself up financially.

Reported to have attracted a range of offers between $500k - $600k a year

Clearly something wrong with priorities at the Pies
Cox $550k a year
Mihocek $333

If i was him i would be asking for what Cox is getting, He has done the hard yards and played for less its now time to buy a house

AFL exchange podcast commented there is a significant gap between what Collingwood has offered and what monocle is after.

I think there would Other suitors willing to pay an extra 150k per year.

Bulldogs lions suns swans freo all be good landing spots for him

Apparently the two clubs in the lead to secure his services, aside from Collingwood, are Melbourne and Fremantle.
If you offer 600k we will have to pass.

As good as he is, we need a KPF as 1st priority.

You will also have to trade for him, and imagine he won't be cheap.

Cox was worth the 550k just for the 2018 prelim. Also, that 550k figure is being touted as fact when no one outside the club/afl salary cap dept can be sure it's right. He had to trigger the extra year of a contract by playing enough games this year... seems unlikely that sort of figure would be tied to a trigger like that

Thats a ridiculous low offer under the 2020 AFL average of $365,000 a season.
