Twomey: "Hollands has some Petracca qualities - both about the same height (Elijah maybe slightly bigger), both confident players and versatile, able to play as half-forwards and midfielders. Petracca dominated his under-18 season but I think Hollands would have as well. They've also both done knees, don't forget."

"Acknowledging his rawness, he identified his ruck work as an area he believed he could further improve - and while it would be great to play for his father's favourite team North Melbourne, just getting drafted would be an honour."

It's time to discuss relocation.

To WA.

My suggestion: Cable Beach.

... are you sure King Corey?

"The holiday hot spot has quickly become a nightmare to live in for some residents, with gangs of girls targeting children in vicious attacks, alcohol-fuelled violence in the CBD, violent robberies and car theft."

Based off that:

- Twomey thinks Cox/Reid go to Essendon/GWS in some combination.
- We are a shot at Perkins at 11 if a couple of Bruhn, Henry, Mcrae, Powell go to Essendon/Adelaide
- Was interesting he didn't link us to Chapman
- Neale might be available at 37.
- We are in with a shot of Bowey at 30.

My ideal first 4 in the draft is shaping as the following at this stage.

1 - McDonald
11 - Perkins (If Cox/Reid/Perkins are gone, my preferences here are one of Mcrae/Henry/Chapman)
30 - Bowey
37 - Neale

If we go with mids earlier, I'd be stoked to pick up Josh Treacy as a later pick. He is a big strong lad for an 18 year old.

He and Callow are going to represent pretty good value later on in the draft.
Josh coached my son's U17 team a couple of years ago! Stella young man.

What’s the knock on Maher? Looks big, strong and apparently has a bit of toe.

No.1 draft pick contender Riley Thilthorpe insists fans have nothing to worry about when it comes to his groin issues and says there will be both pros and cons if he is selected by his hometown club Adelaide at the top of the order next Wednesday night.

Along with Western Australia's Logan McDonald and Wodonga product Elijah Hollands, the 201-centimetre forward/ruckman from West Adelaide is among the favourites to be selected by the Crows with their first pick in the national draft. The Crows could bid on Western Bulldogs academy player Jamarra Ugle-Hagan, although the Dogs would match that bid, bumping Adelaide's first selection to No.2.

Thilthorpe battled groin complaints this year, interrupting his SANFL season and preventing him from testing at the AFL draft combine, but he is adamant he will be ready to go for round one next year wherever he lands.

"They're [the groins are] really good. I'm really happy with where they're at. I'm back into some decent running in the gym," Thilthorpe said this week.

.I think I'm on track to start session one of pre-season."He said the talk about him being picked at No.1 was yet to fully dawn on him, and that while it would be terrific to stay in South Australia, there would also be silver linings from leaving the state.

"I'm not really that nervous [yet.] It's pretty surreal. There's a lot of talk," Thilthorpe said.
"I'd love to go to the Crows at pick one, that'd be awesome, but there's pros and cons for everything. Going interstate would be really fun and I'd love the new environment and learning stuff for myself away from home. I'm just really excited for whatever happens, I think I can make positives out of it."

When it comes to role models, Thilthorpe looks up to a couple of the AFL's stars.
"Tom Lynch from Richmond. Just the way he crashes packs, and his workrate. And then Brodie Grundy in the ruck, the modern ruckman that I try to emulate," he said.

The bolters might be bolters for a reason though?

Remember when Atley was the much spunked about slider?

oh how loved a slider or shit footballers that weren’t sliders .
I never understood how you could pinpoint footballers that were no good and miss all those that were good .
Surely we should have asked for a list of the players our team wanted to draft and just put a line through them all?
