It truly is. One of the great aspects of the sport is that you can be in such a bad position in a tournament and come out and still win it. Barty played pretty poorly in that opening match, but improved with each match.

Considering osaka hasn't done much on clay or grass yet, ash has a good chance to hold on to the ranking for a while.

That is a really good record against the top 10. Not something I knew anything about.

Really need Barty to stop throwing in bad sets/matches against the "lesser" players at slams. She lost to Muchova, Riske, Kenin and Wang Qiang in her recent grand slam losses since she won the French(ironically won without facing any top talent).

Big upset win that. She is kind of like the female Popyrin. Good serve and a bit limited outside of that. Deserves to be ranked way higher than 180 odd though. It should put her in / towards the top 100 you'd think.

It was quite a funny stadium they played on. You could tell it was only for-TV-event.

jabeur had an injury but still, great week and tournament.

W15 Antalya ITF Doubles -- Gadecki and her partner (3rd seed) won the final against the 2nd seed.

Ash Barty into yet another final, this time on the clay in Stuttgart, finished another tight 3 setter overnight against another top 10 player. Barty seems to always lift against her fellow top 10 players.

Ash is having a great year so far. Lots of long, tight matches this week.

Such a good record against top 10 players in recent times. She'll be just about top in the race if she wins this. 30-6 since start of last year, and on the verge of a 3rd title since her return. Sabalenka still to come though, who has started to put it together in the last six months after some earlier promise, although Barty has a doubles final to look forward to as well.

Good to see Barty doing well again. I don't expect to see Osaka doing well on clay.
