Almost feels novel to not be involved this time around , like someone quipped elsewhere , we can sit back and relax for once and watch The melts before our eyes
Melb the favs for mine , been on them for a while got the class every line on the ground , hoping they step up , think they will
Ffs I hope Ess don’t have a rails run, got the roll of the dice so far avoiding a trip to bris and will get a home ground feel in Tas with majority crowd ,,,,,,DONT write off the WB too soon, their form is hardly deplorable ,,,just sayin
Pa how far
Swans and gws a cracker and almost a shame one gets knocked out as they both have strong claims to go deep
I’ll have the bean bag out and 65” tuned in , let the games begin

i couldn't care less.
won't watch a single game including the grand final.

I'll watch until it gets monotonously chipped around (looking at you Geelong) the umps screw the game with 50m penalties for smiling at the kicker from on the mark, or everyone throws their hands up appealing looking for a cheap boundary free........ That ain't footy!

Then I'll go paint a wall and watch it dry!

Same here. Long ago stopped following AFL in the general sense. Tigers are my only interest.
The sport is basically unwatchable.

My order of preference (lol I think I’ll get flamed on here for my order):

1. Essendon
2. GWS
3. Bulldogs
4. Sydney
5. Geelong
6. Brisbane
7. Melbourne
8. Port Adelaide

Tbh, there isn’t anyone in particular that I don’t want winning other than maybe Port Adelaide. Even then, it’s a pretty mild dislike.

The teams I don’t want winning are mostly out of the 8.

Can I ask why?
I genuinely don't enjoy watching today's brand of footy.
I'm bitter and jaded that my side isn't a part of it.

Essendon?
Seriously?
Their fans are toxic to the point that will threaten violence...more than any other set of fans in the country.
The club systematically drug cheated and never accepted any responsibility.
They got rewarded with the No 1 draft pick that was part of the 'sanctions'.

I'll be watching the Bulldogs.

Lol, but the family member who supports them already has his head in his hands. Thinks their farked. Says Essendon had them comfortably covered recently and nothing will change between now and then. Pessimist!

Personally, I'm more optimistic. They are a decent team with some truly top-shelf mids and a sprinkle of magic. If they get the game going their way, it does not matter that they can't win a hit-out and don't have a KPD.

I probably won't watch anything outside the Bulldogs. AFL feels more like WWE every year.

Care factor pretty low.

But I'm going for GWS.

As long as Essendon lose this week and Geelong go out sometime I'm happy. Prefer the Cats lose in straight sets, good draft pick.

Have a deep soft spot for the dogs due to family, but their form right now is abysmal. Can't see them having an impact.

Absolutely. I thought their goal-kicking lost the Dogs that game and nothing else.

But the Dogs supporter in my family doesn't see it that way. He only sees doom and failure. And fat Jake Stringer winning the game because his "30kg heavier than Libba. How's anyone supposed to tackle that pizza on legs?!"

My grandfather was a Collingwood supporter who was also hated Collingwood the most of anyone I've ever met. Would routinely say "If they were dogs, you wouldn't feed 'em." Pessimism must be genetic, lol.

I dunno - I still find this sort of stuff very watchable....

Took two and a half hours for them to not give a shit and just throw caution to the wind.
The other three and half quarters were absolute garbage.
