Is it just me? Or is it when Carlton become interested in a player that player all of a sudden becomes an all time great and are worth significant picks/ compensation etc?

Why do players we always want seem to be twice the price than the one's that want to leave Carlton and we get no compensation (ala J Waite)?

If Cerra is worth 2 first round draft picks Sam Walsh must be worth 6 boy oh boy do people get worked up when we want someone.

What's option number 2 for Freo? Keep an uncontracted player who they have no authority to retain? That can't happen.

It's OK to prefer we go down the youth path with Cerra, but the difference in quality between Cerra and Parker is not 'marginal'.

There is a clear gap between the two and it is complete guess work as to whether or not Cerra reaches Parker's heights.

Pick 6 and Luke Parker: elite on-baller or Adam Cerra: mid with potential.

Not saying I'd go after Parker but I know which one I'm taking. By the time Parker is 32 our pick 6 is 4 years in.

They are not going to get two first round picks from any club, it is just not going to happen, fair value is approx 1st round pick 6-10 & a player e.g SPS.
Unless we are challenging for a premiership next year, why would we be interested in a 29 year old, keep building the list

Fair trade is the same as last years for saad, if not, less. As it stands, Cerra has finished in the top 10 of their bnf once and it’ll be his second top ten finish this year. Saad had finished in Essendons top ten three times. Cerra playing for a non finals team and saad was in the top ten when the team made finals. I would offer our first round pick and ask for a second or third back.

Have to say, yesterdays events created so much excitement I loved the feeling in here and what it brought to conversation with my loved ones.
Although it hasn't turned out like that, full respect to ITKs posting and putting it on the line with the info they receive.
Its what we all wait for and the conversation any info brings is fantastic!

This trial by the media of our commissioned external review, firstly leaked by the media, incessantly commented on by the media is very annoying to me!!

the board is in a shambles! Really? What have they said or done since the review was given to them late last week?

the club should support Teague! Who is to say they are not being fair and as transparent as they can towards him, being he as a lot of others are a part of this review!

none of us currently know anything, click bait media is building this up as a dumpster fire.

less than a month ago Clarko was coaching the Hawks next year! Is he a great coach? Sure! Is he the second coming of Christ! Please!!

if this is truly a clearing of the decks then it will take time. No one individual in any organisation is any good without the support structures set up and utilised by that individual.

there is so many moving parts to this that none of us can know what is going on and what will eventuate.

was Teague not properly supported during this season without quality assistants and a head of football… probably but… he would of had in his power when taking on the role to pick new assistants as he saw fit. Now if I might buy into the tumour mill lol, one of the initial leaks was he wasn’t listening to the advice of the people around him. E.g Barker - we have defensive issues with your game plan and Russellthis player is not ready to play, he needs more time.

smart leaders identify smarter people than themselves in areas that they may have the foresight to see that their advice will improve their own performance. of course we’d ask the question to Clarko et al but that’s just part of the process. If Sayers is half as smart as he appears to be then he at least will follow the process. The outcome of that process is yet to be determined.

Cerra isn't a 2 x 1st type player. If they start there, that's their ambit claim. We counter with a straight swap of SPS and we meet in the middle. It doesn't go up from there.
