Never got a chance due to various injuries (a couple not football related).

If the whole list was out of contract last year, he’d probably still be a Lion while others were shown the door.

As a player, he’s a Lachie Neale type. Hope he gets a genuine chance with you guys, as a lot of fans here would like to see him succeed.

Liam Jones will play for Palm Beach-Currumbin and Jarod Harbrow at Broadbeach. Not sure on Patton. Becoming a really strong comp now which is great for QLD footy.

That $25k would be equivalent to Dusty being paid $4m per season.

QAFL clubs have a points cap of 45 for each weeks 22. Kids who have come through the clubs system are 1 point. Patton would be worth 6 points. Players are worth different points depending on years of service to the one team.

diamond in the ruff I reckon. He's not pretty and doesn't possess many natural sporting gifts but he knows how to get it. I see him as a young Cunnington or Libber. Huge upside that the Lions could well rue.

the other day (played U18 footy with him, coached by dad Peter) and he only had glowing things to say about his time with Brisbane. Said he could see the wheels turning quickly by the time he finished up with the Lions and hoped for the best.

Will play locally with Pearcedale (MPNFL - Division 2) with brother Jordan with club legend Peter returning to coach the under siege Dales.
