We haven’t played our ace yet , the neurology report that suggests Dion time from the game is unknown and that we’d be disappointed if that wasnt reflected in the penalty , bringing 8-12w into the equation

Was interesting to see on AFL 360 Gerard show some clips from 2018 which got at least 5 weeks, but were graded as intentional. THen showed the recent ones which were all 3 weeks.

Amazed at the narrative sayign Dangers 3 week hit was worse as old mate went off on a stretcher and had a broken nose.

Didn't think you were having a go so much as setting the record straight.

I don't object to that at all -- I was wrong and I can wear that.

Would be nice if Chris Scott made some sort of public announcement about how I've made a terrible mistake and I feel bad.

I just watched back the Danger incident in which he got 3 weeks. This simply has to receive a harsher penalty. Should be 5-6 but I’d be ok with 4. Danger’s incident:

1. Dangerfield was initially involved in the play, bouncing the ball through the middle of the ground… it then got turned over.

2. Kelly took possession and gave off a handball a split second before Danger bumped him. So Kelly actually had possession of the ball and Danger was coming towards him accordingly.

3. Danger stayed low and tried to take all body - their heads clashed and he knocked Kelly out, so he was responsible for the damage.

Stewart ran past the ball and lined up Prestia who
never had possession of the ball and had just knocked it away. He didn’t get low and look for body, he collected him in the head with the point of the shoulder.

So the incidents are similar only for the grading. The intent, execution and gameday circumstances are completely different. Stewart cannot get the same penalty as Danger on any reasonable measure.

One involved the player who had possession, the player started low to go for body, and an accidental head clash caused the damage. The other Prestia never had the ball, Stewart didn’t go low, he lined him up from a distance and the clash was not accidental head contact.

Has to be 4+. If not it’s a sad joke for Prestia and head trauma in general.
