Umpire didn’t even pay a free kick ffs. I think a few on here have been drinking Johnny Ralph’s bath water.

I have no idea what Ralph said but it happened about 30 meters right in front of our bay of mostly Carlton fans. Those around me pretty much agreed that he was screwed if the MRO looked at it.

Is there even any word on Hewett?

It's been said to be a week-by-week proposition which given how spinal injuries work isn't unheard of but it's not positive news - it's pray and hope it comes good news.

What angle was Ah Chee approaching the football from in attempting to impact the play?

Impact the play = taking the ball in his hands.

Angle of approach was 70 degrees across Cripps path (not quite perpendicular)

Cripps left the ground and hit Ah Chee the in head as he was grabbing the ball. He took no further part in the game due to concussion.

He was coming from the center of the ground towards the boundary, got there fractionally before Cripps.

If he gets off it'll be the photo that Sam Edmund posted that helps him get off.

Technically the Geelong v Adelaide game was forfeited when Walsh passed, so yes.

Admit mentally not doing great and just want it over to a degree
We are all affected in our different ways. Don't let it really get to you. It is a sport and it can't be perfect for us all the time.

Look what happened in 1977. We collapsed and it was shit. BUT 2 years later we went on a run of 3 flags in 4 years. What happens in the next 2 games won't affect how good or otherwise we are in round 1 next year.

Left the ground, went the man, knocked him out.

Lucky he only got 2 weeks.

Worth the punt at the tribunal, but 90% chance he's done for the regular season.

Really disappointing by our supposed leader.

rubbish.

he was going for the ball.

His impact didn't injure Ah Chee, he hit his head on the turf....

I dont mind missing cripps for the final 2 rounds of the season, test the depth see what they are made of to make the call and if the doggies stumble he has had a nice freshen up for the 1st final but we should appeal that.

It’s a reasonable angle to take to the tribunal. About the only thing they could argue.
Watch the front-on vision - Cripps has eyes for the ball the whole time during his approach to the contest.

See:
Voss labels Cripps bump a 'fair contest' | Fox Sports Videos 0:15-0:16 - stop it and look frame by frame.

Ah Chee certainly got first hand on the ball, but Cripps makes contact with the ball with his right arm - he's very much in the contest.

He jumped in the air and lept at Ah Chee, immediately lose any argument when you leave your feet
Really?

To take this argument to the point of ad absurdum, consider Saad's mark of the year a couple of week's back...

Saad leaves the ground, he leaps into Peatling who was just standing there, his knee makes contact with Peatling's head, leaves him lying on the ground for a minute, clutching the back of his head. He goes off the ground, but isn't concussed and comes back on. If he was concussed, should Saad have been cited?

Irrelevant…

Impact caused him to hit his head.

The question is, did Crippa have another option than to bump/hit high?

Once you chose to bump and leave your feet, you’re done…

Unfortunately.
