I go see my Grandfather every week/two weeks. The man has a lot of history with soccer in Darwin, and especially in Greece, both at high level and could have played higher but decided to settle down in Australia to start a family. He's never liked 'Australian Football'. Thinks it's borderline thuggery and there's no 'structure'. He respected certain players like Russell Ebert though. Definitely old school mentality, play for the love of the sport, not money, etc.
I love this man with all my heart.

I was almost in tears in front of him today, telling him that I know he doesn't like our sport but I'm sure he can understand my passion and frustration for/with this club. In his own way, he tried relating and consoling me. He said;
"That game you played in the finals against Richmond a few years ago, that is when I knew your head coach didn't have what it takes to win. You will never win with that man coaching".

Even my Grandfather, who does not watch footy, can tell from one game that our coach is not good enough.

Even though he sucks, I genuinely believe that Hinkley didn't have the totally wrong idea when he first darkened our door. Unfortunately, like so many, he's been corrupted by money. To him it's now a job and doing what he can to keep his job is the most important part of his day to day work.

The crows had a plane fly over Adelaide Oval in 2014 during the first showdown dragging a sign that said "Adelaide Oval - Home Of The Crows". So it can be done.

However it seems Ken will be starting round 1 as coach next year whilst we start looking for the head coach for 2024.

Surely we aren't just going to see 'how the year pans out are we'?......
