Ken Argo f*ck yourself Hinkley and David Argo f*ck yourself Koch are attached at the hip. We have to get rid of Koch to get rid of Hinkley.

And there isn't enough people on the board to put up a vote of no confidence in Koch, and vote him out as chair, and the AFL you can bet, wont accept a new chair unless it a unanimous 9-0 vote..

As Koch said at the AGM, he selects 7 of the other 9 board members and gets them rubber stamped by the AFL, so unless you have a few hard tough bastards or bitches among those 7, nothing will change. The AFL don't give a stuff about us whilst we are "stable."

Koch gets to do what he wants.
REH we need someone with your skills to create the PAFC members association.

The members need a voice and a block of power to reclaim our club..

Don't misinterpret this, but me and your mum have a lot in common...
Back in 1997, when I was working in Canberra, I would ring my parents in Adelaide and they would put the radio beside the phone so I could listen to the radio coverage of the games.

Now I don't even turn on the TV.

When the club sent me a free membership this year I replied that they did not have my permission to count me in their membership numbers and requested they withdraw it, which they did.

I have the football from the 1958 SANFL grand final in a cupboard, stuffed with newspaper.
This club will never see it again.
I'll keep it as a memory of what was.

Its just a clown show now, its moved on, and so will I.

It's better than the current Chairman who lives in Sydney, and barracks for Sydney
Maybe. I met Haysman a few years ago with mutual friends totally lost respect when he mentioned his kids had “a heap of gear signed by Travis and Robbie” but it didn’t make any sense to barrack for Port when you lived in Melbourne. Thankfully my kids were there, same age as his and they pointed out that it wasn’t an option in our family and it didn’t matter which country you lived in they’d been port members and had made it to at least 4 games a year (we lived overseas). Same could be said about Koch’s kids and grandkids they’re all port supporters.

I understand you don’t like his decisions, fair enough, I just wanted it to be clear that Haysman doesn’t give a flying f about Port Adelaide.

Nah associating sacking no hopers with the bars is 100% congruent..

True

In one of my polite, subtle emails to the invertebrates a couple of months ago I put something along the lines to koch head 'read the creed, pack up your desk and get the hell out of my club'

At least clarity, a decision has been reached. It seems there was a fair bit of blow-back to the statement Koch made and we await for any news re the review and changes. Those who are not willing to accept the decision are entitled to their view and whether they will attend games etc,
i do think these individuals absence as long time supporters of the magpies and power are doing more dis service to themselves and could reconsider and accept and support next year. The sack thread has outlived whatever interest discussion it ever had and as such the moderators have an opportunity to reconsider if the over the top carry on of some should have the same opportunity.
Me i look forward to attending next year.
In that case, I hope you enjoy the continuing mediocrity of this once great club.

I remember we all sat here at Christmas and said ‘I hope we miss the 8 because that means we will be done with Hinkley and can have a crack with a new coach’
What has actually transpired is worse than our worst nightmares. This bloke is a chance of coming BOTTOM 4, with minimal serious injuries to think about ALL YEAR and we’ve just been told he will STILL BE HERE NEXT YEAR.
He’s won 2 finals in 8 years and missed the 8 as many times as he’s made it. There is no statistic that makes this bloke look like a good coach. Not a single one, yet here we are- prophecy fulfilled that without schoey and Voss he would fail. It’s happened, we’ve all seen how clueless he is and we are STILL stuck with him. What the actual is going on. Everyone with one eye can see that this bloke will NEVER win a flag- even in 100 years and yet this clubs directors decide to keep him? For what?!?!?! He’s never gonna get what we want so why wait. I cannot understand this decision at all. Why continue to have a no hoper in charge. For what reason? We know how this will end already next year. He will leave and we will have just wasted an extra year of butters, Rozee; duursma, georgiades, Marshall, Burton, Houston promising careers. Disgrace PAFC absolute disgrace.

Money talks, that’s what we need
Any one a secret squilanaire (or knows a few) and can spare/raise a few million to offer the club, provided the AFL dump Koch and ensure the majority of the board are member elected ?

Hinkley is a great coach when he is against bottom 8 clubs. Any top 8 teams he has consistently struggled against. Would love to know his win/loss record for top 8 clubs. This year is what 1-9 or something
By definition that makes him not a great coach full stop.

On another positive at least the new coach in 2024 will have a top 10 draft pick this year and a top 5 draft pick next year. At least will hopefully be able to build a young core around those two future players. Unless port are dumb like they were last trade period

So now we have to burn season 2023 to get the result we want..

* me.. what an absolute disaster

I really hate you hinkley.. you have sucked the life out of footy for me
2023 is a write-off, but more worrying is a potential loss of promising young players at the end of this and next season as they seek growth in their careers. They ain't going anywhere here.

The only tiny consolation is the hope he's goes into next year without an extension and then has to squirm with the feeling of having actual pressure on his performance. There is no other positive about any of this
