Don’t want to spoil the party, and I understand that we don’t like Richmond.
But some of the stuff being said here is ridiculous (more so than normal)
Hopper is a very good player, and exactly what the tigers need, an extracting mid.
Taranto is a legit star with x-factor abilities to win games.
Most of us here have wanted one of both of these players the last 5 seasons.

Yes it will cost the tigers a lot. Probably ‘22 - 1st round, ‘22 - pick 19, ‘23 - 1st round and a player or two (soldo, RCD, maybe even Graham) depending on who gsw want.

But they have done this very well, they took 5 players in the top 30 last year, two of which (Gibcus and Sonsie) have already shown they will be top quality.

Their backline is very good, Lynch, dusty and Bolton up forward with a couple of younger ones coming on are dangerous, and what has been their weakness the last couple of years has become their strength with these two additions.

From the view point of a Carlton fan, I hate that they’ve nailed it.
But from a fan of list management, it’s pretty impressive work.

To me it just confirms what we already know, but somehow get the feeling some people here feel different. For us to win it, we need to get better! We can’t just be holding out hope that the good teams get worse!

Adam Cerra is a good player and can play good footy, long May it continue, I have no issue with you or anyone talking up Cerra, I get frustrated at the talking down of other players or the putting down of others, to pump up our own. Taranto won the B&F at GWS in a season they made the GF and we had a poster saying he doesn’t have any competition there.

If we didn’t grab Cerra last year, we would be all over Taranto and if he picked us, this place would be talking him up as the next superstar.

Hes a really good player, that’s all.

So based on you logic it seams very strange Liam Stocker who has no interest from other clubs to have has met with a club a few days later after being delisted. If he meets with a few other clubs as well will this also support your argument there is no interest.

Go through every trade period there are a number of players traded with less interest them from other clubs than Liam Stocker.

There’s a difference between interested in picking someone up in the draft and interested in trading for someone. You can have zero trade value and still be picked up in the draft.

Ditto Cerra. Nothing to suggest Cerra will be the lesser player.

This is probably an unpopular opinion,
/view.
I get a bit disappointed to see our players through their instagram pics are already off to Europe/QLD etc. holidaying. If you are playing finals you are still training / working hard etc. Miss out, you get a holiday early? Wish more of them would spend the finals month doing something football focused (yoga/running/weights?). I wonder if the teams finishing top 4, do tend to come back stronger the following year due to the additional training?

I’m a bit with this. There are a large amount of athletes world wide who take about a week off, then do maintenance for a few weeks, then build again. Doesn’t feel like our guys follow that script. But who knows.
