If that was the deal, even with a third/fourth rounder going back to Lions, it'd go through. Less than what the dogs would want, and more than lions wanted to give, which probably means it's not far off.

Is there any indication of Lions budging with regard to what they want going back?

If the Lions are now saying 21 + future first (assuming Ralph is right), it'll go through. Maybe with some pick swaps slightly in dogs' favour.

As Brisbane have known since the start of trade period, the price is 2 x 1st round picks.
P21 plus the F1st (with nothing going the other way) is a positive move by Brisbane but they need to add something to it so that the Dogs can trade both picks up into the first round.
Nothing has changed - Dunkley will cost 2 x 1st rounders. Pay the price or he will be walked.

The failed attempt to bring Dunks in will be a watershed moment for Brisbane... and not a positive one.

It's 90% done. Dogs take 21 + F1 rather than walk him to PSD, because at least Lions aren't taking the absolute piss anymore.

If F2 is added and the Lions want more points don't want more picks (due to list spot issue), maybe upgrade a few of their picks for this year instead (e.g., our 30+39 for their 34+55).
