Season over … thank god, now I don’t have to torture myself watching the shit show that is supposed to be our BEST 22?

For all the talent we have on our list, I have never seen a more undisciplined, indecisive and poorly drilled Carlton side.

Im starting to doubt Voss because we are the lacking the bare minimum skills.

Worst game I’ve ever seen Walsh play.

Kemp outstanding. Can’t believe some people want him out
Cerra our best as usual. Liked H’s effort and intensity even if the outcome was very Jekyll and Hyde
TDK did well all things considered although Gawn gave him a bit of a bath late
I don’t want Fisher in this team ever again. Adds nothing

We are in trouble. Last 2 Coleman medallists and we can’t even kick 50 points…
Did we make the best use of Charlie?

he was out of the seniors for a long time. probably lost a bit of fitness...vfl is slower

he was ok/good i thought. ideally he plays a few more games.
He did ball watch a little and probably could have had more impact, but he was far from poor and showed something to build on.

A positive rev up and a promise of gametime next week and we should see him start to perform more.

Another honourable loss, less than a goal a quarter against a recent premiership team.

All is not lost, even though it is tempting to think that way.

I once again come back to it being very hard to hard to judge a game plan when the turnovers are so bad but what is on Voss however is picking SOS to ruck, Doc to go forward and Kennedy to play back.

Also the half forward line is a list management issue. It’s the worst in the league by some way. They can’t kick goals, stick tackles and let the opposition half back cut us up every week.

I took Weitering back to his swashbuckling best after a turgid first quarter as my highlight of the night, along with Harry getting (hopefully most of) his mojo back.

Will concede that Jesse Motlop needs a spell in the VFL.

Not too upset over the loss, I don't believe the players had the confidence or talent to beat a team that we haven't beaten since 2016, no won a flag less than 2 Years ago.

Apart from Kemp and Dow playing it was a pretty meh game. I saw some AFL standard plays a few times but it was an ugly slog against another team in poor form that beat us by being less s**t when it mattered.

No way we ever comeback when no one is a reliable set shot goal kicker. Margins baited us all season to think we were one good game from clicking.

Bless the Kemp.
Another team in poor form who happens to be sitting 4th at the moment. If Carlton were a stock all the smart money would be wolfing short sells. We have dropped from 3rd to 13th in two months......

This was the performance of a poor football team, who had a good night.
We only had 16 players who played to afl standard tonight
Weitering, kemp, cincotta, saad, motlop, mcgovern, walsh, curnow, mckay, docherty, cerra, fisher, boyd, kennedy, De konig (maybe), cripps(maybe).
-midfield has no run.

Seems either I don’t ooze sarcasm or you don’t understand it on here.

It’s a disgrace.
Emoticons where it's ambiguous! Unless we know your style well.;):D

Stats said that Melbourne would win by 4-6 goals and they did.
Stats said Carlton dont kick enough goals and they didn't.

What were the positives for Carlton? well Melbourne are teh highest scoring team and were held to one of their lowes scores for the year.

What were the negatives for Carlton?
Well the same negatives seen all year - all teh forwards apart from Harry and Charlie are of zero threat to any opposiotn and they cant defend territory either.

Good young ones: Kemp/Cincotta
Good older players for Carlton : Cerra, Kennedy

Did anything surprise you JaB?

I was supposed by just how putrid and brain dead the defensive thinking of the flanks occupied by Cottrell/Motlop/Fisher - allowing Melbourne to run their way along boundary brushing off thei r huggy wuggy kissy kissy tackles like they are little flies instead of FT professional athletes...

but what did you think of DOw JaB?

Dow was ok I would like to see him able to play in a couple of positions- becaiue poor Vossy is carrying blokes that cant play in any position.

ANY final thoughts JaB? Well leaving the 'Nose' aside - it would be handy to have Cuningham and Williams playing oh and another ruck would have been handy - because I thought TDK played a great three quarter game by teh 4th he was just exhausted...

what was the highlight of teh game JaB?

Well my highlight was watching Kemp go white lien fever on some Melbourne DH and Harry kicking three goals followed by 2 behinds and OOB.
