What to even make of this game.

One stat that sums us up at the moment,

Melbourne had more tackles, and a tackle efficiency of 72% to our 54%.

So not only are we tackling less, we are making them count even less so.

I had a go at Weiters for having 1 touch at half time, he was much better in the 2nd half, needs to be better like much of his mates though.

Cez was our best after half time.

TDK battled valiantly against the best ruck in the comp, just needs to clunk his grabs more.

Kemp stays in full time no matter what.

I know I mention the basics/fundamentals a bit, and how we don't seem to train them.

In a game we lost by 17 points, we gave up 2 goals in the second half because players (Fisher in the 3rd, Young in the 4th) DIDN'T STAND THE ****ING MARK CORRECTLY!

I cannot comprehend how a professional footballer can be so moronic about something so straight forward.
But we are obviously not training it properly, and it is costing us.

Apart from Kemp and Dow playing it was a pretty meh game. I saw some AFL standard plays a few times but it was an ugly slog against another team in poor form that beat us by being less shit when it mattered.

No way we ever comeback when no one is a reliable set shot goal kicker. Margins baited us all season to think we were one good game from clicking.

That first half. Just about the most depressing of the year. SO much discussion about our rubbishly slow ball movement and we come out and do the exact same god awful bullshit. There are a lot of queries about this team but the question on Voss has been answered.

Intercept marks against were again too high. WHY we bombed it long into the forward line rather than lowering the eyes and finding a shorter option on the lead. This is happening every week
Overall ball use was poor. I liked that we were taking the game on more in last quarter. But connection with forwards still poor. 44 points not good enough. Defensively not bad

You can’t fix this in a week. Which is why I had no expectations tonight and my heartbeat never got above normal. We are a broken team that will require a preseason to be fixed. Whether Voss is doing the fixing is another question.

Kemp was good. Cinc battled his arse off. TDK found several gears. Cerra was good. Weitering has found some form. Happy for H. Liked Kennedy’s first half.

Fish, Gov, Owies, LoB and Motlop can go something something. I drop them all but we can’t.

Acres and Saad have killed us most of the year with their foot skills. Walsh the same. And poor Crippa… he can’t chug chug chug anymore.

Don’t know if I’ll go next week. Don’t know if I can be bothered.
