The wonder why players get dumped ..... they do not get penalised for holding the ball. One hand restrained, they hold the ball with the other hand spin and spin ..and then its a ball up. Release it a kicking away..or holding the ball.

Yeah it's not a good forward line to start with, but no Ginnivan and Elliot and a mid plus winger down (so you can't have a mid on their half forward line) weakens it further.

Pies have got no legs around the ground to compensate. My worst fears about Melbourne getting the Pies on a good day are coming true. Now we need a big Demons choke.

For myself, I'm struggling to think how you came to the conclusion that Pies fans wouldn't boo Grundy.

A more classless assortment of supporters you seriously could not find.

I dunno, mis-placed faith in humanity maybe? Lack of sleep? Probably a combination of those.

Maybe I'm alone on this but I'm actually happy about a Melbourne win here. I want Collingwood's balloon to burst and their aura of invincibility chipped away at. We're not going to overtake Melbourne and make top four anyway. The more important thing is that if we manage to scrap our way into finals, we want the best teams more vulnerable, less confident, and with some of their weaknesses exposed should we meet them in September.
