well at least your picking her on her merritsSerena Williams.
Yeah I realise she has her haters, but I couldn't care. One of, if not the most mentally tough sporting athletes I have ever watched. Her performance on clutch points is amazing.
Did you watch the game, or did you watch some highlights, or did you watch nothing? No she didn't, if you honestly reckon she took it lightly against Serena you're kidding yourself.
Yeah she may be a great looker, but she has always been a choker, and she had no idea what to do. To not be able to get the ball back in play when Serena was serving on one leg showed just how far she is from being an elite tennis player.
I watched it obviously. But hey, if you think Hantuchova took it easy on Serena at Wimbledon, one of the most prestigious tournaments in tennis, than fair enough. I'm sure she took it easy in that 3rd set too hey? When she barely managed to get a ball back!Did you watch the game, or did you watch some highlights, or did you watch nothing?
Firstly, I couldn't care less what the media say regarding Serena, particularly since the Williams sisters have often been castrated because they are different to the norm, and so dominant compared to the rest.Williams has ban cursed by a lot of people in the media here for the way that she played up her "injury,"
Fair enough. I think its time for people to accept that Hantuchova will never be anything special. Just check out her legs, because that's all she's good for. She doesn't have the mental toughness to take on the best on the women's circuit.I'm in no way defending how she finished off the game, I'm just dissapointed.
I live in London...everybody from John McEnroe to Michael Stich were having a go at her.And I don't know what 'media' you are referring to, whether it is in Adelaide or just in Australia, but these articles seem to praise her efforts fairly well.
Hantuchova doesn't cope with pressure too well, but these serves were caused by nothing more than the wind, which was coming through at 20mph and gusting up to 60 mph at times. I'm not sure what experience you have with playing in that type of weather, but I can imagine it not being easy, the commentators pointed this out at the time....with her two serves bouncing before they hit the net. She was tighetning up, there was no need for Serena to overplay her injury.
well at least your picking her on her merrits
unlike most of the men on this board
What merits? None would be fit for a pre match knock up with any top 100 mens player.
The only point of them is if they are eye candy.
