Gunston new head coach.

I'd really like him as an assistant coach. He's got a huge amount of footy smarts to share.

Just please not on the field. In the ones. Have at it as the caption of the twos and back up if hippy or Joe get injured.

Kicking straight makes such a massive difference, particularly in Q1. 6-2, vs 4-4 last week, 1-4 against Freo, 2-5 vs Geelong.
(Best not even discuss the Suns game).

That was an awesome performance by the boys, and better live. Got challenged in Q3 and wrestled back control.

Loved every minute of it.

How impressive is Lachie Neale acknowledging he’s been a bit down on form and then responding like that.

We’re so lucky to have him at the lions

Don’t want to be accused of tooting my own horn but did think that the pies wouldn’t tag him. Which to me is crazy given the impact it has.

Ticked most boxes. Still need to stick more tackles. Think Chuck enjoys being the linchpin when Gunston’s not there. Dev should’ve tucked his dangling bits in and not given them something easy to tackle - it’s that sort of attention to detail that keeps you in the 18. Nice to see Neale’s form turn the corner.

Wasn’t Mitchell tagging him, except Mitchell is cooked

Agree. What's with the Oscar hate?

He comfortably won the hit outs, had 16 possies and laid 5 tackles.

Thought he was very good myself.
I thought Oscar had a great game

Listening to Kick Ons yesterday, Cam and Hugh did say how great he is at going through their vision with him etc. Sounds like someone we need to look down as a future assistant.

Funny how everyone has different perspectives .

We never looked at the stats but during the game were kept lamenting what he did on so many occasions.

Just doesn't seem to have any smarts at all sometimes.

But I've always been a fan of his endeavour ,even when it's misplaced.

Brereton gave Rayner a big wrap in the post game show.
Cam's quietly becoming a big game player IMO. Has shown up when it matters in quite a few games the past few years. I know he can be a bit of an easy target when he has a quiet game, but it makes me optimistic he'll still turn in to a consistently high quality player. Has all the attributes for it.

Great win. Open forward line was brilliant. Lester was great again. So good with the ball in his hands. 100% Disposal Efficiency. Great mark in the last quarter when Collingwood were pressing.

Great game, intensity up from first bounce, fantastic to finally win a last quarter in a game that really matters.
Top 2 all rests on next week. Can’t wait, bring it on!

I was so mad lol. Charlie was right there for the handball too.

I’m almost dead from the last month of football and we have our 7ft tall forward taking bounces 5 out from goal
Pls Eric stop this madness

It’s the one position on the field that we can’t do much about. Hes a work horse but he isn’t a star. He is probably a good enough ruckman for us to win a premiership with. He just makes some howlers and Cox did give him a bath when he came on. O evened up the ledger the longer the game went. We are looking so strong around the ground that our ruck is our biggest worry, followed closely by our mids defensive efforts at times.
