I agree with you but history shows some ruckmen make mind boggling stupid decisions when changing clubs. Grundy to Melbourne and Preuss to wherever he went in his first move stand out

Sometimes I think they do it on purpose, would Pruess even still be on a list if he didn’t move to Melbourne behind Gawn (after being behind Goldy for the start of his career) - easiest job in footy backup ruckman, you get better when you don’t play but you can’t get worse

Might even turn out to be how it plays out for Sweet too, just sit on a list for 10 years playing the odd game on a cushy wage, could be worse!

Gary Dempsey. Although tbf North still had Barassi at the time, so he at least played a few more finals.
(There was another decision (allegedly) involving a lady who wasn't what she appeared to be, but I believe he still won the contested possession.)

I'm not sure it's the disaster that people think it is as long as we get a good draft package. I think two picks inside the top 12 would be acceptable.
