As much as perhaps we call the Giants a plastic franchise, to be honest they are a serious footy side. Really stiff to lose, the sort of game much like our 2007 PF effort or the QF last year. Collingwood just seem to always be in these games that are a flip of the coin.

That was one of the worst standard prelims in a long time as far as quality goes.

I hope the missed opportunity hits the geelong players deep because this is a bradbury year for sure.

Disagree. Have seen MANY worse prelims. This imho, was the game of the year
I know your feelings about the standard of the comp, but you forget how far behind these teams we were.
This is the Pies feeling the effects of playing one game in 4 weeks getting over the line against a really classy team

Nah i liked the effort because you had 2 teams fully committed and i respect that.

But asides from a few class players-guys like daicos and pendles and sidey and de goey and greene and ash and whitfield and green on the other it was a case of watching a bunch of potato farmers at the bottom end of each team make skill error after skill error. Thats what this year has been a race to the bottom not a race to the top.

Collingwood are just lucky they are slightly less crap than everyone else. Each to their own but not a standard of footy to catch my interest.

Can’t agree, brutal, combative game.

Geelong was nowhere near that level at any stage this year.

There is more to football than skill and names on the team sheet.

We struggle to beat gws in seasons when we are playing well, dunno how we would have beaten them tonight.

We only just beat them last year when we were hot, and they beat us twice this year. Crap is certainly not applicable to them

Great win by Collingwood- against an in form - confident - very dangerous opponent

Those cut throat PFs - are absolute hell if your team is in it - i can remember the 2007 PF - the game feels like it goes for about 10 hrs

FWIW - i reckon Coll have played the best 2 sides ( hardest to beat ) in the 1st 2 finals games in Melb and GWS

I reckon the GF will be 4-5 goals easier for the Magpies - whoever their opponent is next week

NOWHERE near it.
Some people can't let go.
It's not about us this season.
As said before, we have not beaten any of the 4 prelim teams, and we were so far off the pace it's not worth arguing.
