I finished my list with people that came over to visit on NYE. It was quite the morbidly fun activity.
However, I missed the deadline. Can I send it today ClarkeM?

Though this post achieved a whopping vote in favour of letting him play, I have still not yet received a list.

I am a hard arse with the rules as they stand for a reason. So we don't get serial_thrilla crying again but also too, the prestige of this great game.

Each list of 20 people must be submitted by no later than 11.59pm AEDT on December 31st, 2023.

Remember to PM me your lists before 11.59pm AEDT on December 31st 2023 with Wikipedia Links preferably hyperlinked.

Fair call. FWIW I voted in favour of him being allowed only on the assumption that he'd already sent you his list. If I'd known he hadn't and hence had the benefit of seeing other lists then I'd have voted No.

I just deleted a post about playing with a points deduction, but the rules are set in stone and exist for a reason. Better to be a hard-arse than to be too lenient.

Is this Frederico_WA ’s first time trying to play?

If it’s not too much work ClarkeM is it worth putting their list on with an asterisk that they can’t win but just for the funsies?
Can still be involved if it’s their first crack at least.

Looking through the other lists, I think I have 4 unique selections & share 3 selections with just 1 other entrant - bit of a weird feeling, because if a unique selection dies then it seems good research but if they live for another 50 years then I was obviously looking at the wrong websites for research

I have four unique ones.

Michael Turner (former Geelong player who helped build the Falcons) - Popped up on my feed as him being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.

Craig Shakespeare - English soccer player/assistant manager who was diagnosed with cancer.

Pat Dodson - Senator who is retiring due to illness.

Yao Ming - Not sick as far as I know, but people of his height generally don't have long lifespans.
