It's what happens when you play a full rotation down and fill it with an unnecessary one dimensional player.

* played with two rucks, one of whom touched it 3 times. So you could argue the same.

Having said that… I wish we hadn’t picked Pitto.

* showed tonight that all you need to bring is intensity, harassment and fierce pressure
We brought none of that last week, particularly when the game was up for grabs early, gave them a sniff, provided no scoreboard pressure and coughed up 4 points
Forget injuries, forget the last 5 minutes...they are not the reasons we lost, and if we hold on to that, we're clutching at straws
God I hate the *!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Apologies for my late night vent, but did I mention my hatred for the *???

Difference between * and us is:

1. Both Goldstein and Draper played 70+% of the game. Pittonet played 50. It didn't rob them if a rotation it didn't add unnecessary pressure to the other 21 (22) players on the team.

2. Their gameplan is set up to tske advantage of their two ruck system. Playing Pittonet took us away from everything that we'd done so well over the first month of the season - scoring from turnovers which has proven to be way more important then scoring from clearances.

If TDK and McKay are healthy Pittonet simply has no claim to a spot in the 23 unless we're absolutely dlaim to a spot in the 23.

Ultimate kick in the guts Essendon win.. after the crows had a blinder kicking the lights out last week. Just to rub salt in the wounds, Dawson (Adelaide player) has single Handedly butt****ed my SuperCoach all year and I trade him and scores a 171

Same here was gonna do it last week had to this week as was losing a bucket load of money.

Spewing.

Crows kicked 3 points to finish the game. They didn't miss a single shot against us. That was the only difference.
Agreed - hate the bombres.

Another difference might be that they were able to use their sub tactically, after Hind played 2/3 of the game. And that Crows had to use their sub for injury after the injured player only played 1/3 game time.
And goal accuracy for both sides.

Essentially, they were different games and it's pretty much impossible to compare one game to the next.

Every team's form varies week to week - it's not really right to compare different games. It was a close game and it went Adelaide's way last week and this week it didn't. Ball bounces a different way and both results could be different. We just need to focus on playing well and the results will come

Essendon really exposed Adelaide as just an average side last night. They had a game plan that denied their forwards the space that we so generously offered them last week. Only 4 I50 marks this week . 18 I50marks last week !
We were outcoached and some of of our players didn't bring their A Game. It is so disappointing to drop a game in this manner, especially now that we have a tough stretch of matches on deck at the same time as being hit with a injury avalanche.
I expect nothing less than a red hot crack today.

I don't think that Essendon winning by 3 points exposed anything. They were lucky to get away with the win.

Picked the cows myself now am 0 from 2. Yet after watching the game, just felt like the bummers deservedly got the four points. They gutsed it out, they were harder and they wanted it more. Cows had a couple of good players out, but they are still downhill skiers imo.
If we were to replay last weeks game versus them, I reckon we win 97 times out of 100.

True, what matters is our form and how we play week to week.

We need to play better than we did last week and if we’re 16 points up with 7 mins to go not lose the game.

This. The saints go from losing to the giants by less than a kick, to getting demolished by a mid-table team the next week. Form is only temporary

These reviews have gone too far, the goal umpire was right there and didn't have anything or anyone obstructing his view

I remember one of the female goal umpires called for a review the other week and she started visibly chuckling about it. I wonder how many goal umpires know how ridiculous is it? It’s not their fault, it’s an AFL directive and it’s gone too far as you said.

Not going to comment on either * or Adelaide, but there's no denying that we afforded their forwards, a ton of space.

I was there, and it was as clear as day some of them were playing off their man all day. Whether that was by instruction or wantonness, I don't know.
