Time to start spreading rumours of him misbehaving
I heard Levi was on the US trip because he stowed away in Cam Rayner's suitcase!Time to start spreading rumours of him misbehaving
I'm pretty big on Levi from the games I've seen from him. Some of the things he is doing at such a young age is insane.
Going early but I'd expect him to be better than Will.

The only people/club it will get offside is us.
The Vic clubs have wanted to curtail the northern academies, as they see what's possible.
The SA and WA clubs would like greater access to "their" indigenous kids, failing that, they're happy to see the northern clubs access to "our" kids limited.
Syd and GWS academies are NOT moving ahead as fast as GC's and what ours looks to be.
GC loaded up on picks the last few drafts, to the point that they currently hold 3 first round picks and 2 second round picks this year. They are well placed to cope with possible changes, and continue to push picks in to future drafts.
As for the role of the club developing these kids, my opinion is that most of the top kids in our academy come from football families, where the parents and junior clubs did a LOT of the development work before we picked up the most talented kids from our recruiting zones.
Which is no different to most other sports talent pathways
There’s a lot of talk from people at QAFL clubs that the coaching they get in the academy is little different to what they get at club level.
Because that's not equitable to the competition as a whole.
Dayne Beams, Lachie Weller.Late reply, but to me the thing that equalises it is that Vic/WA/SA will always have the “go home” factor. In my entire life I can remember ONE instance of a northern club benefitting from the “go home” factor, and that was Charlie.
Dayne Beams, Lachie Weller.
Still reckon his best chance at AFL level would be as a tall defender, similar to Payne.Billy Richardson (#39) fwd/ruck looked really good in the first qtr against the Northern Knights on the weekend.

Developing kids in our system means they’re less likely to piss off “home”, and we won’t have the reasonably steady stream of established players coming in under the guise of homesickness like every other state (bar NSW) does.
Looks capable, I like his competitiveness. Which bodes well for either end of the ground.Still reckon his best chance at AFL level would be as a tall defender, similar to Payne.
Fergus related to Connor? Some nice sounding types in this lot >

Daniel Annable, Ty Gallop, Ryan Gilder, Fergus McFayden, Billy Richardson and Sam Marshall were all named in the squad.
Gallop, a big, bodied forward who loves the contest is known for his great hands and body work and a great shot on goal.
Gilder is a medium defender who can play tall or small and is a real competitive type with genuine closing speed.
Annable, a hard-working midfielder known for his high work rate and contested ball winning abilities has continued his good form from 2023.
McFadyen, a strong third tall or midfielder who has elite hands and possess a strong work rate.
A beautiful kick of the ball, Richardson is known for his ability to attack the footy.
Sam Marshall starring for the Lions Academy in the Coates Talent League early in the year averaging 30 disposals and impressed with the Allies in two matches averaging 18.5 disposals using his elite running capacity and footy smarts to win the ball.
Youngest of four I believe.Fergus related to Connor?

Ty Gallop needs to be first selected just on the dramatic imagery his moniker brings. Some nice sounding types in this lot >

A marketers dream come true.
I love him already. He's as imposing as he looks.
Averaging 2.5 goals a game and a very good contested mark. Hopefully can add a few Cms as he grows!
The poor English in this article hurts to read. Surely the club can afford a proofreader. Anyway, disappointing that Gillett didn't make it.Some nice sounding types in this lot >
