But what I will say is I don't mind that they meet with potential players for the club.

Yeah maybe. But lots of scuttlebutt that he was really torn about leaving Richmond. Maybe that takes the edge off, but you could also imagine he'd want to give the last hurrah before leaving.

At least Baker hasn't publicly said he doesn't want anything to do with us like Kelly did. I found the clubs continued begging to get Kelly to change his mind hard to stomach. We need to show a bit of self-respect as a club.

Edmond reported today he doesn't believe Baker has made his mind up yet and the coach isnt the deciding factor, and both freo and WC still think they are right in it. Ralph has made us believe all year that he essentially hates us and would only go here if WC don't split their pick.. but you wonder if hes just full of it. Twomey said all year don't count Freo out. Ralph seems to have a hard on for saying every WA player wants to go to WC. He even insinuated in his latest article Bolton would likely end up here (and not WC) only because we have the draft picks which is BS

Below is top rated front half players excluding key forwards for 2024. Adding Baker and Bolton would be massive additions to our team.

Richmond were obviously terrible this year. Bolton was the number 1 rated player for this position for both 2022 and 2023.

I imagine having coffee at Cockburn Central is a pretty hard sell for anyone.

If there's anything of note out of this it's that Brayshaw and Serong are doing this.

I just think Pearce is an action leader. He's a natural leader and is incredibly competitive regarding the aspects that actually directly relate to the game. But formalities, meetings, all that...not his style. On his Better Down Back pod I'm pretty sure he jokes about how he'd like to dump next year's captain's meeting (or some other silly formality) on Brayshaw.

Who are we dropping in the forward line out of J,J,J, Sturt, Freddy, Shai or Switta??

You wouldn't drop any of them listed .except maybe Walker and that would be an expensive upgrade

Why not look at the entire 22 as he also plays midfield and see who he replaces. The reality is that Omera Aish Banners and occasionally Emmett were best 22 last season as JLO continued to play them. So I'd happily replace any of those guys for Baker because they are all C grade players and Baker is a B grader. B plus potentially in a good side which isn't currently Richmond

Baker met with Freo again yesterday. Serong and Brayshaw went all out for Baker during the season. Must be something they see in him that’s a perfect fit for Freo and that’s good enough for me.

Well they can give that a rest and go Wine & Dine Kozzie

Get Walters to 250 games as a tactical sub, he’s earned it. Fyfe still has something left in the tank. Never been a fan of JOM. Hopefully he gets dropped from the leadership group and team.
