F2 is interesting, are we not planning to use F2 to trade in anymore?
Um, well, yeah. It's clearly an option, chief.
Why else would we have offered it for Kemp?

Anyone else feel like giving up Toce is going to come back to bite us big time?
Richmond have 8 picks in the first 24 this year, if I were them, I'd be looking to move 2 or 3 of them into next year for overs (I don't buy the hype that this is a superdraft and next years will be an academy only affair).
Would give Richmond, 10 top 24 picks in two years. If Toce carries on his recent strike rate, that would be their rebuild already half completed.
I'm not sold on SOS and I feel like Dalrymple joining up is a bit of an old school boys club type arrangement and we may have let a quality operator slip out of our hands.
I obviously hope I'm wrong, but I am usually of the school of thought that if it ain't broke, don't fix it, and I think Toce was the least of the club's concerns.
Adore Skunk, he’s been a warrior for us, but if Keeler and Caminiti can’t match his output by season’s end we’re going nowhere anyway.I love Membs but he is fringe best 22 at absolute best now and almost certain to be Sandy depth by years end.
Needs to play within his limitations ie Howard & get it into NAS/Sincs hands at all costs

Advantage of the train on ruck is we literally get to see them in comparison to Heath and Keeler, and all in comparison to Marshall. We will have the SSP period to have a look at the likes of Crossley, Pruess, Reid or whoever else as train ons. Heath is not that far away but still has work to do, if the No2 job opens up it might inspire him to really step up. At worst if Marshall goes down we ruck Heath & Keeler. The other option is take the risk on drafting a ruckman eg Dodson who is advanced and could possibly play the 2nd fiddle role relatively early.
Crossley isn’t an AFL ruck; too lumbering. We will have the SSP period to have a look at the likes of Crossley, Pruess, Reid or whoever else as train ons. Yeh but if he wants to be playing in the 23 every week we probably owe him that and should let him go.He's still good value considering our most mature key is now King. He helps structure up the forwardline and would still have great value to us off the field. Worth his spot as depth too.

Pruess is an utter waste of a list spot.
Who the hell is Reid?
Our first pick next year likely to be 10 or 11, then compromise that further with Tassie picks, and it's a worse draft.....I'd do it.Most would have us bottom six certainly missing finals and you want to swap that for end of first or worse ?, no thanks.
If he is as good as some have suggested, and it's still early days for guys like Pou, Wilson etc., we could have given a valuable asset to a competing club at a time they can best utilise it.What has Toce going to Richmond got to do with them having 8 first round picks. I’d argue that even I could manage ‘next best’ in the first round. Even if he stayed at StKilda we’d still only have 2 first rounders that will likely pick themselves. Recruiters and scouts earn their money with picking diamonds in the rough, our later picks will likely be consumed by father sons and academy picks. If Toce was still at StKilda he could have probably taken the year off.

I know we're not a charity club, but he's been a fantastic servant of the club and if he's after 2 years then I'd be inclined to say that on form he probably deserves a 2 year deal.Yeh but if he wants to be playing in the 23 every week we probably owe him that and should let him go.
I assume we would only delist if he requests it because he has a deal elsewhere, otherwise well give him another year.
They may not need many, one is expected to be a rookieIsn't there less incentive for Blues to want a future 2nd if they need points for the Compo Pick twins
Thats still not really the point. Collingwood might be saying he plays every week, we wont offer him that guarantee, in fact wed be hoping he doesnt.I know we're not a charity club, but he's been a fantastic servant of the club and if he's after 2 years then I'd be inclined to say that on form he probably deserves a 2 year deal.
So a bloke who was big part of the reason why we were so much better in the last six weeks is all of a sudden going to drop off the cliff , he is 30 not 35.I love Membs but he is fringe best 22 at absolute best now and almost certain to be Sandy depth by years end.
I love Oasis but City fans lifting our cup is just like Doc running around with the cup in a Filth jumper... noone wants to see that!2025 Liam and Noel Gallagher lift the Saints Premiership Cup at the Oasis Concert
I'm feeling it.
Sad that we are making a competitor stronger and losing a best 22 player for nothing.

Well its not done yet. Id assume its pending Kemp and other stuff but again, the point isnt about us ****ing him off, its about doing the right thing by him if were looking past him.So a bloke who was big part of the reason why we were so much better in the last six weeks is all of a sudden going to drop off the cliff , he is 30 not 35.
Hammer may have to go down back and Max is just about always injured, I wouldn't be so keen to get rid of him
If we can get this Kemp deal across the line, we should be able to keep Hammer forward. So a bloke who was big part of the reason why we were so much better in the last six weeks is all of a sudden going to drop off the cliff , he is 30 not 35.

We all hope that happens.Training wheels are coming off for the likes of owens, sharman, caminiti.
Caminiti and owens are still young enough to be somewhat still on their training wheels.
But membrey going for nothing means we need sharman to replicate membreys output (and owens and caminiti to continue to improve too).
I'm backing sharman in to be at least as good as membrey in 2025
I'd be amazed if we don't bring another ruck. There'll be plenty of options through SPPJack Hayes likely to be retained now as our second ruck, not ideal for positional depth but I think if we see the best of Hayes he makes our team better
