We got a freaking father-son selection with our third pick.

Welcome abroad Matthew's son!

Awesome to get in both a father son and a Sowfs boy. He'll be one that needs development now that he is in the system.

Can he play?
What’s the point of difference?

Honestly, I didn't see a helluva lot of South Freo this season to really know what his point of difference could be but I think he has potential from what I have seen. I always felt that if we were to take him that the club would have felt he has shown enough to prove that if he comes into the AFL system he has a chance to develop into an AFL player.

One of the most puzzling choice in years. Carr is a 20 yr old that couldn't break into the league team at SFFC. His stats haven't been that great either. I am actually excited to see the potential that Walls/Woodland saw in him because this would be one neat trick if they pull it off. Welcome to Freo Carr!

He actually has some elite traits. Looks so smooth and his leap and marking ability is first class. If he was only 18 I would be pretty pumped, but I'm going to temper my expectations of him panning out considering he turns 21 in 2 months. But he has scope to put on some size

Can’t say I watch as much as WAFL as others on here, but my drafting philosophy is there’s two things you can’t teach - overhead marking and foot skills. And Carr looks to have them both.

I’d be tempted to develop him across half back and eventually on a wing, we’ll see.

looks like a good mark in this vid

Well I'm sold, clearly our circa 2013 Fyfe replacement!

But seriously, that's actually a surprisingly nice highlights package, especially considering it's all presumably WAFL league and state level.

Strong mark, nice kick... bulk him up a bit and he might be handy.

+ Mongrel.

You can’t teach mongrel, it is already in the Carr clan DNA.

Jaren looks like a late starter. I seem to remember that he prioritised his studies last year.

Walls has been good at finding diamonds in the rough.
