Yeah it does look like a timeslot for solid match sim, but I believe it’ll just be that and nothing to do with the season launch as the club usually builds it up by posting a “save the date”.
I think we’ll do something different this year maybe closer to the season but who knows, I could be wrong!
Well chucking away a proven reliable goal kicker who was still performing at a very high level, for zero return is certainly “different”, I’ll give you that. They had their reasons I suppose and wanted to go younger and put more game time into the youngsters. Guess they felt they needed to do something different to get out of the rut.

These photos are always misleading, I wouldn’t declare that Allan towers over long until a genuine side by side pic where they’re both standing up straight is taken.![]()
This could be misleading but it’s possibly Allan is taller than 194cm given he towers over long
It’s a nice story but doesn’t make sense at all in context given that he had the chance to walk during the trade period but ended up getting delisted afterwards instead.Although I was told yesterday saints offered him 1 year, we offered him two.

We would need to replace the magpie with a woodpecker...Im glad Dick Smith isnt a sponsor..
Whichever way you look at it they're both big boys. These photos are always misleading, I wouldn’t declare that Allan towers over long until a genuine side by side pic where they’re both standing up straight is taken.
I have a feeling it’s gonna be wed 5pm but it’s low key and not announcing it
The rules don't say that at all. It’s a nice story but doesn’t make sense at all in context given that he had the chance to walk during the trade period but ended up getting delisted afterwards instead.
I’m pretty sure that the rules of free agency say that if you’re offered a contract and choose to decline it (ie, you’ve delisted yourself) you can’t become a delisted free agent, you have to go to the draft.
Last few years they did, it serves as a player presentation too.
Only explanation is that they are doing it different this year and having the two things separate. Have the intraclub as part of a training session next week, and the player presentation at some point in the next couple weeks at the clubIF Player Presentation then why not Advertise it?
I'm sure they'll advertise the player guernsey presentation if they're doing one.IF Player Presentation then why not Advertise it?

I mean, you could have at least checked before putting yourself out there and being so wrong. It’s literally on the first page of rules on the AFLPA site:The rules don't say that at all.
It's fact he was offered a one year deal, and we offered him 2

In terms of the rules, Saints delisted him. He could have previously been offered a contract verbally or in writing and been available as a dfa. It’s a nice story but doesn’t make sense at all in context given that he had the chance to walk during the trade period but ended up getting delisted afterwards instead.

Maybe they could get away with it verbally, definitely not in writing. Read the rule, I even posted a screen shot of it. No idea why anyone is arguing about it given how clear it is.In terms of the rules, Saints delisted him. Could very well have been an amicable delisting of a veteran that they would have kept for a year as depth but were in the midst of moving on from.
I understand the rule. St Kilda just needed to retract their offer and he's available.Maybe they could get away with it verbally, definitely not in writing. Read the rule, I even posted a screen shot of it. No idea why anyone is arguing about it given how clear it is.
Ruined our season.True that. I remember in 2023 when we were missing both Cox and Cameron for 4 games the year after we traded Grundy.
