Last year, Thilthorpe was 17th for contested marks per game. Contested marks are low % plays at the best of times, so the key is just getting to more contests.

I guess I’m seeing the ones he misses, he could be anything.
Just because he rates well doesn’t mean he doesn’t get out positioned or hands to it a lot without marking.

Draper’s second half was just awesome, he’s going to be an absolute weapon

Excellent confidence booster to win like that against the reigning premiers, we need to improve on last year in regards to winning close matches and this was a good step on the way to doing so

Yeah fair enough , thought he could have Landed it a bit more shallow so that spillage went toward boundary

That's part of it being a low percentage play. It routinely happens to the best, especially now days where you are frequently facing 2 and 3 v 1s.

Pretty filthy re lack of rotations but pretty sure burgess wanted to test players over 4 quarters and build resilience in conditions

Pretty much why I think Thilthorpe came on after injury , I reckon burgess thinks he overreacts to niggles and minor injuries when quite often he can play thru them
