I'm going to stop defending Shooter too. He has to start converting and he must also hit bloody teammates on the chest rather than constantly turn the pill over. Naicos hit the ball pretty hard today, but Josh did not. He won't wanna watch the replay, there was a lot of choosing when not to go.

I thought Ed showed alot in the first half and looked like he belongs. I think he will be a very good long-term player.

I'm concerned about Sidebottom. i said to a mate, that if Sidebottom is playing at years end, we're no chance of winning the GF. Need someone to overtake him in the pecking order. BTW Sidey is one of my favorite players but times catches up with all of us. We can't carry him and Pendles in the same side.

Nick had an interrupted preseason and only played just over a half last week and it showed. The step up was too much and he cramped completely out of the game.

The tackling, defensive acts, pressure, tap ons and blocks around the ball and in marking contests were all truly ordinary today, made worse by how well our opposition did those things.

Love fly and he'd have his reasons, but I'm questioning Pendles on Callaghan
He is way too fast for him and absolutely killed him. Wouldn't Crisp be the better option?

And Jaicos cost us several goals with horrible defending.

With Mitchell and DeGoey out, I'm also astounded that Sidebottom doesn't get more pure mid time.

Finally, where the hell is the dare? We were so vanilla. And if Sam Taylor is better than you, take him the hell away from the contest!! Why are all 3 talls going for the same ball? Say what you want about Cox, but he would have ever brought it down more than Checkers, McStay and Membrey did today.

Think Steele turned it over but looked more like he belonged out there. Pendles sadly looked like he’s clinging to it. I hope this was just a one off for Pendles. He’s a club champion and a star of the game. I’d hate to see him be the next Buddy Franklin.

Absolutely, I was more referring to toughness and tackling, Mitchell is a great tackler at the contest and we miss that, now it gets out and its gone. Not sure he will ever get back to what he was anyway.

The thing that really disappointed me about today was the lack of run and taking the game on. Truthfully, it was absent for much of last season as well. I know conditions weren't great and no Houston, but there's got to be a little more go in this side.

We must have watched a different game. I was impressed by the way he handled the heat of that game-especially in the second quarter. If you call that third game from a player putrid, you have a very high bar indeed!

Preparation hasn’t been called out enough. An extra months break yet we were cooked by the third quarter and they were still running full pace in the 4th.
