Listening to this, it sounds like Caminiti was moved back purely to teach him some "empathy" for what it's like being a defender when your forwards are useless. Ala Fev on Gehrig.

Sounds like we'll be back to Hammer fumbling marks, kicking OOBOTF and handballing to opposition defenders next week

Caminiti looks lost as a forward, play him back and hopefully he can turn into something. Can’t be worse than cordy and schoenmaker at the least.

On the effort front, we definitely came out flat but our lack of defensive structure made it look way worse. Disappointing but not all that surprising given the inexperience out there. Thought windhager made a strong case for more midfield time, Hall looks likely to add some much needed class up forward. Boyd worked into the game nicely.

Hard to find many positives, at least we know plenty of changes coming soon

• Hall and Higgins 4 goals and 13 score involvements between them.
• McRae probably one of the few shining lights with 23 contested possessions and 7 score involvements.
• Wilson, he just needs some time on ball along with Nas.

BAD

• Windy gets moved to the HFF after a second quarter in the guts with 4 (of his 5) clearances, 1 centre clearance, 6 disposals, 3 tackles and shuts out Dawson (2 disposals in this quarter). Why?!
• Caminiti forward and Cordy KPD isn’t cutting it.
• Nas made hard work of it at times today getting too creative.

UGLY

• Richmond showed any list profile can apply pressure. Zero urgency when the ball hit the deck today and I’d hate to see ground ball and loose ball gets.
• We also made basic errors with ball in hand when there was opportunity to transition the ball into open space.
• I can’t see this getting any better throughout the season, and not sure playing the likes of Clark, Jones, Cordy, etc is the way to go when Boxshall, Keeler, Barrat, etc can’t get a game.

This club will never go anywhere as long as Steele is still captain. That he's seemingly the only choice available says it all.

His style is lead by example but maybe he just doesn’t have it in him anymore to do so.

I’m also just out in Hunter Clark, sorry. He’s the new Jack Billings, if only he could get run at it he’d be a star they say.

Let’s just play these kids, what are we getting out of having Jones and the like out there over a Boxshall or Tobie.

I'd argue that we can and should replace the latter three. Hill has runs on the board and I'd give him another chance.

Cordy - Caminiti moves back
Byrnes - Stocker in, O'Connell/Clark to the wing
Jones - Boxshall

I don't think Caminiti is that much of an improvement on Cordy but at least he is young and still has the potential to get better.

Stocker is a slight improvement on Byrnes but he can also butcher it and I don't think O'Connell/Clark on the wing helps much.

Boxshall would be an improvement on Jones but he is more likely to replace Garcia who didn't have a great game today either.

At the end of the day we just need to get our best 22 players back like King, Sharman, Owens, Howard, Pou, Henry and Butler.

Sorry but it is not mathematically possible that we have somehow assembled a team of 30 players incapable of building an AFL looking body.

It is 100% not a focus and hasn't been for 15+ years.

A staph infection can be fatal. It sounds like this infection got pretty far down the road. Good news that he's back on his feet now but I have no idea what lasting damage may have been done
