Why would we want a player’s asshat?

Rowell is staying at GWS, Harley Reid will join Essendon, Butters is more likely than not to stay at Port Adelaide.

You Geelong methheads need to face reality

Don't worry about the mighty Cats - seems you haven't faced reality yet and I just about don't blame you. Your personal Defcon 3 and subsequent melt is going to be fun :$

I want Carlton to keep building organically though the draft and stop trying to buy high priced recruits from other clubs. It's gotten us nowhere

We don’t need any of them TBH, it’s more about the melts for us. How’s Francis Evans going these days ? :$:$

Bacchus Marsh kid, not a Geelong kid

Went to St Pats in Ballarat before Geelong Grammar, sounds like GG was a later high school footballing decision

So um yeah, divvy
A Pinocchio of Cats fans.
Whateley number 1 ticket holder.

It will be interesting to see which big fish the Cats get next. They've had success with a new under the table payment system recently that's an upgrade of Carlton's, plastic baggies. Stokes approved too!
:$

GFC are masters of offloading spuds for actual draft picks: Exhibits 1, 2 & 3 - Jordan Clark to Freemuddle + Ratugoalerror and that other hack (whose name I can't and don't want to remember tbh) who both went to Poort (their recruiter should be shot).

Who have Geelong lost recently that we wanted to keep? Tim Kelly for sure but look what it earned in return. Enough said.

In the meantime we continue to pick the eyes out of the rotting carcasses of other teams e.g. a big thanks to Flogscray for Headband Man + pick 45 for effectively picks 17 and 38 :$

Note to other clubs: you're all in our recruiting zone

Dogs tried (and failed) to dob us in to the AFL so looks like we're gonna get them again. Pick 20 was the arse-tearing we gave them for BAZOOKA, we'll probably try get this one done for something in the 40s.

After snaring Bailey Smith last trade period, Geelong could be at the front of the queue to snare Bulldog Jamarra Ugle-Hagan should he leave the kennel come season’s end…..

Geelong is one of a group of potential suitors for former South Warrnambool product Jamarra Ugle-Hagan even as the Cats lock away star Jeremy Cameron until 2027.

...

Nearly every AFL club would likely chase Ugle-Hagan if he was on the open market but he remains contracted to the end of 2026.

It will not stop clubs like Geelong from monitoring his season and registering interest if he decides to move on.

Ugle-Hagan has a friendship with new Western Bulldogs star Bailey Smith, who has escaped the fishbowl of Melbourne after his own personal issues and has bought a property with some acreage out of Geelong.

Ugle-Hagan grew up on the Framlingham Aboriginal reserve about 20km from Warrnambool and played for South Warrnambool football club before being secured as the No. 1 overall pick as an Academy player for the Western Bulldogs.

Framlingham is only two hours from Geelong and even less from the area west of Geelong where many players have set up farms and houses.

But while many clubs will be in pursuit striking a deal with the Dogs would be especially problematic given the Cats were seen to have won in their trade for Smith.

It'll be worse if Leeds somehow miss promotion. I've got a good mate who supports Carlton and Leeds. Barely approachable campaigner atm. I'd hate to see him if both miss out on the big time this year

I can understand why the Tuggers nuffies are worried.
Yeah a chance to play at one of the biggest clubs at the biggest ground in front of huge crowds or a trip down the highway to shitsville, too play in front of 30k at a less successful club, Im worried big time.

Unless of course one of our recruits has a contract with one of the Cats sponsors or wants to retire on a farm, then Im shitting myself.

I would have thought you would be after Trainor his Grandfather is Doug Wade, or is he remembered more as a Roo?

Now, now. Getting mad about it before it happens just means you're getting mad about it twice.

lol sokkah.
Meh. Lol footyball. A minnow sport in a minnow country.

I've been to a World Cup tournament - the tension and excitement puts anything the AFL can dish up in the shade.

I like both but sport, face it, is a joke. In the end it's all just bread and circuses for us dumb plebs.
