Ball movement killed the Blues as expected, Carlton are playing a style of game not suited to this era. They will struggle this year unless they change their style of play.
Not as simple as changing the style of play unfortunately, we don't have the skills to do it. Vossy won't change the style change the current style coz its really the only way the list as currently configured can play.

But yes, won't get anywhere consistently with that style in the modern game.

I don't know how they can do it, but they need to replace Young, Haynes and Gov with some competent talls down back 2026-2028.

Kemp
Motlop
Evans
Fantasia
(Get some real forwards)

Pittonet so that they can find a mobile ruck who can go forward, while also chopping TDK out at stoppages (none of this Cripps rucking).

That'll do.

Obviously the three ive mentioned wouldn't be the only departures.

Fantasia is a lock to be gone. Pittonet potentially too.

Motlop and Kemp will both stay.

Why was it poor? It was a push that prevented the Hawthorn player from making a play at the ball, which would've easily marked or spoilt. It wasn't a 50/50 contest

It doesn't strengthen your argument or reputation, by making clearly and obvious incorrect observations.

I would have to disagree with JSOS, besides being inaccurate at goal (no Robinson Crusoe either) he's easily the highest IQ player we have and one of the few that actually holds down a semblance of structure whether forward or back, and can play pretty much anywhere.

I think in a much better balanced list he'd be a very handy third option.
I thought he was easily the most dangerous last night, everytime he went near it or had posession something happened. Gave our backs some issues even on someone like Hardwick who's a gun defender.

With a fully fit squad, Carlton are a dangerous side. Cripps, Walsh and Cerra are all good solid inside mids.

Cerra would of thrived under Geelong

Cheer up, mate!

This works out well for you- when we trade this years first and a couple extras for Harley, Carlton's first is going to be worth more to you because of this game :)
Ah you blokes never change lmao. Up there with the worst supporter base in the league. It’s like chatting to Liverpool fans

Ok. All this free Kick Hawthorn Guff.. You have no idea how wrong that is.

From a great bit of statistical analysis... Hawthorn has BY FAR, the worst free kick differential since 1970

And even see it is getting worse since 2020

So stop with the lazy "Free Kick Hawthorn" bull poo. it just is wrong

PS. 12 Flags in that time too...

Shoule be a pinned post in every thread about umpiring so these creatures around here don't get the chance to consistently ignore it and keep pushing their own false narratives over and over as they have for years.

Or not, so we can keep guzzling the oceans of their tears.

Gun when switching forward that Hardwick too

Yet to see a Hawks fan give a genuine reason as to why they might get a run of 9-0 free kicks when the game is on the line. Thoughts?
Maybe it because the umpires saw infringements and paid them? You do realize that free kicks don’t have to be even?

Do you think the umpires get everything right, or that they pay everything for the Hawks and Hawks alone?
There’s a bunch of frees missed every game for players on both sides.

You were in here melting last week about free kicks, and you’re likely going to be back here again next week, and likely not because Hawthorn got any sort of favorable treatment, but more so that even the most basic of frees being paid to Hawthorn has completely broken your brain.
