Anyone who thinks a crowd shouldn't boo an umpiring decision they don't like, or a villain of an opponent, seriously needs to harden up and get a grip.
At the end of the day, it's sports, crowds are going to boo, it's part of the fun of going to a game, getting involved.

How many times has Zorko done that in his career? Bet you still cheer the campaigner?

Are you all there? Of course I cheer him on.. he plays for my team. Admittedly hate it when he does that.

I’m sure there’s been a lot of opposition fans wanting him to get flattened too.

I agree they're not a fully developed adult but once you clock over 18, there are laws that now apply to you etc and you're no longer considered a child.

I also don't think someone from the crowd offering some kleenex is that over the top. Harley rightfully gives it back and we move on. No racial slurs, no abhorrent behaviour, nothing that crosses a major line. Play ball.
I agree. It’s more there were people criticizing him giving the bird to a crowd booing him after he’s been dumped late.

That’s also extremely immature behaviour and citing soccer crowds to support an argument is getting a bit desperate when they’re the worst in the world. It’s good we don’t have that garbage in AFL.
Football fans are some of the most passionate in the world, some of the chants and songs they make are pure creative, it's entertaining. They can be awful but you can't deny their passion.

They also incite actual violence and cause real damage mentally and physically. Most are not like that, but unfortunately plenty are. They’re not crowds to be praising.

Yeah I got no issue with the bird. The rest is just a part of football. If anything his little knee on Zorko was the one incident that was uncalled for but also wasn't big enough to blow up.

Shouldn’t go to Collingwood then team of geriatrics be down the bottom in few years
I wouldn’t pay what you want.
But yes, original burn….

Pies never stay out of finals for long. Just a great club for a supporter knowing each year you’re a chance.

But wouldn’t mind getting a high draft pick one day. Hopefully, we don’t waste them like the West Coast has done.

I think Brisbane supporters should also be aware that Zorko isn’t exactly an angel on the field and does plenty to piss players off

noah long was quiet again today

liked the flicking handpasses, and you could also tell some of our guys had developed synergy in preseason, looked like an actual team out there today. Our attack and defence wasn't too bad last week but the Suns slaughtered us at the source so it was a non-starter

We get reminded every week. Still doesn't mean you're allowed to just start putting your knee into blokes because they're a shitter.

At this point Zork's reputation is also a little overblown from previous years, he definitely has settled over the last 2 years since moving to the back line (Still has his occasional antic though).

Are we now arguing that fans of a team can't call out sniping/dirty behaviour just because they have a player who does the same? You can point that out and acknowledge it while still cheering them, they're still on your team at the end of the day.

Given most kids don’t leave home before they turn 25 these days, a 19/20 year old is most definitely still a child and not close to fully developed as a mature adult.
He'll vote in a couple of months in a Federal Election.

But, please don't boo him. Poor kid.

Wtf, someone fill me in, are we that good or Brisbane that bad?

If we win it'd be the biggest upset I can remember. Richmond Carlton nowhere near. But feels too much to hope for though, just hope we don't get blown away.
A bit of both to be honest. Some of your younger players like Tyrell Dewar has been good.

But yeah some of those eagles kids with 2 or 3 years of development and improvement does wonders

Harley Reid is a grown (young) man and can do what he likes on the footy field. If he wants to be the Dustin Martin, Toby Greene, Jack Ginnivan type that crowds love to hate then that is on him and crowds will react accordingly.

That said, wasn't that long ago Ken Hinkley was public enemy number one for gesturing to Jack Ginnivan. A "much older man" according to Sam Mitchell being mean to a 22 year old that had been in the AFL for 4 years. So make up your mind whether young players are fair game or not.

was a big effort from the coasters, just didn't have the 4 quarters in them.
made harder by playing bris.
still would get some belief from the game
