We don't have a choice on what we wear. The AFL makes that decision for us and other teams. They picked us to wear red yesterday :(

Yes, and I don't get how Hawthorn officially don't actually need a clash jumper, yet the AFL force us to wear one against them. If they don't need a clash jumper, surely that means they DON'T clash?!

Anyway, FWIW I thought the red actually clashed MORE with Hawthorn, Gold vs Red as compared to Gold vs Navy. Look at the round 14 game and compare. Of course, the sunlight/shadow factor of Telstra Dome didn't help either:rolleyes:

We did NOT lose this game because we wore a red bloody jumper. Nor did we lose it because we played in the day time. We lost it because we weren't good enough.
Exactly. And for people that say we play badly when we're wearing the red guernseys, i've seen some really disgraceful performances this year when we were wearing the good old navy red and gold hoops too. As for the design, i reckon the red is a welcome change every few weeks.

That was the idea I had a while ago, with the yellow one. I did a mock-up ages ago, before I got Mero's new template:

I also did this one, yellow with the red and blue bands, but much more predominantly yellow, which I have posted here before:

I prefer this one then the other one that you did. GREAT JOB. Send it to the AFC PLEASE :] :thumbsu:

That's what I thought.

What I also find interesting when it comes to clash jumpers is originally the red one was for clashes with Melbourne, Richmond, Carlton and Essendon, yet none of these clubs have to wear their clash jumper at AAMI against the Crows.

Yeah i know, makes it even more bizarre when the AFL didn't list us as a team that clashes hawthorn at the start of the year. It seems like at every opportunity they make us wear our clash jumper.

I've done a bit of research of what guernsey's we've worn at away matches this year.

Home Jumper: Round 3 v Port, Round 7 v Brisbane, Round 12 v Kangaroos, Round 19 v Geelong. (4)

Designated Away Jumper: Round 2 v Bulldogs, Round 22 v Collingwood. (2)

Clash Jumper: Round 5 v Fremantle, Round 9 v Carlton, Round 10 v Melbourne, Round 15 v St.kilda, Round 17 v Essendon, Final v Hawthorn. (6)

Melbourne do and have I believe. But you are right, Essendon didn't wear it this year, neither did Richmond and Carlton didn't play us this year at AAMI.

I don't even think we clash with Essendon or Richmond personally. For mine, we need it against Fremantle, Melbourne and Carlton. And this is why a yellow one is needed because it GENUINELY avoids a clash, unlike a red one which is still a bit of a grey area... much like the whole Brisbane Lions saga this year. I still don't think we clash with them either, but a yellow one will also avoid that clash.

Another non-existent clash.

I thought about doing a yellow version myself. But I think we should continue to keep on using our normal and away uniforms, scrap the horrible red and introduce my new red design as the away clash jumper. This would make me a proud crows fan to see a team running around in an AFL jumper I helped design.

It was pointless using the red yesterday. The normal away uniform would have been nicer!. It was our descision to wear the red.

You don't feel a yellow version avoids a clash more?

Plus, it WASN'T our decision to wear red... it was the AFL's.

We also wore our home jumpers against the Kangaroos at Carrara, Gold Coast QLD.

Thanks, They look awesome. Would love to see the players wearing either of them anytime soon. Both designs should be looked at seriously by the AFC as they look way better than the current clash uniform.
Well Done :thumbsu:

You think Trigg decided to wer the red one to boost sales??....I feel the whole club believed we would walk over the Hawks. Wearing the red jumper, maybe there were thoughts when we win people will buy it....

Bugger the red one!

Bugger introducing a yellow one too! All, yellow is as gay as it gets IMO.

Lets take the lead of Collingwood and Essendon and submit one jumper, our traditional home jumper for all games next season. If its good for one its good for all. We clash less often than either Collingwood or Essendon do too.

I'm sure the LA Lakers would disagree with you on that one. Plus that yellow heritage jumper the Crows used was great.

LA Lakers? Who cares if the Lakers like looking gay? Isnt their main colour purple too? Purple and yellow....thats mardi gra material. Lets not follow their lean on dress code.

I simply dont like yellow as the main colour. Yellow, orange, purple, teal (hehehehe) and pink should never be the main colour in a footy jumper. Obviously, purple and pink should never be worn by men full stop!

The more I see the yellow heritage one, the more I dislike it.

this is the only alternative jumper i ever really liked. It was/ still would sell as merchandise. I still see people wearing this guernsey even 11 years later!

unlike that stupid red one...

I hope the crows bring that one back. I'll be the first to buy if they do. :thumbsu:

I am quit partial to the yellow one that somebody designed on the previous page. It bears a striking resemblance to the yellow one we wore in heritage round 2 years ago.

That red one is a god awful piece of crap. It looks like it was designed by gibbons with access to sewing equipment.

ahh, the first crows guernsey i ever purchased

i tried it on the other week, to say that it was a tad tight would be an understatement, looked like it was painted on! :D

the design i saw was a predominantly yellow one that had a striking resemblense to this..
