Out: Doc, Mots, Cow (inj), Young
In: Carroll, Harry, Moir, Cotts

Haynes Weiters Gov
Carroll Jsos Saad
Walsh Cripps Acres
Ollie Harry White
Kemp Charlie Moir

TDK George Lord

Zac Cotts Cez

Sub: Durdin

Notes:

White needs to stay in
Moir to start (it's the Eagles), when he tires bring in Durds
Obviously assuming Harry will be right
Carroll (it's the Eagles give him a shot)

Would have liked to have dropped some others but no viable replacements at the moment.
Hopefully Eli has a big game in the 2s.

The VFL team list certainly makes for interesting reading this week, especially at full forward....

Obviously Cowan will come out and really hope McKay, Durdin, Carroll, Boyd & Wilson give the match committe some thinking music.

Inclined to give Moir another go in his hometown despite being virtually invisible.

Really can't fathom how that third quarter played out, it felt like we went into half time with the momentum, then kapoof, all over.

Barring injury, this should be our 23 for the rest of the year:

Cowan, Weitering, JSOS
Boyd, Carroll, Saad
Walsh, Cerra, Acres
TDK, Cripps, Hewett
E. Hollands, Curnow, Williams
Moir, McKay, Kemp
I/C: O. Hollands, Lord, Motlop, [rotation]
Sub: [rotation]

Rotation group: Cottrell, White, Fogarty, L Campo, B Campo, Wilson, Durdin, Charleson

Everyone else can piss off to the VFL for the rest of the season,
How tall is Carroll?

Is he CHB worthy?

Assume he’ll need 2’s time to build he case further. Looks to have a lovely peg.

They'll probably insist on it, but I don't see much point. Inexperience is a limiting factor, yes, but hunger can be a massive benefit. Haynes and Gov have been poor for a month, can't see much harm from a performance perspective in swapping one of them out for a 19yo kid with a desire to prove himself. Helps a lot that, yes, the boy can kick.

Young was a disaster last night again.

A 🦌 in the headlights.

Every time the play came through him, he stopped & panicked.

OMG - who can take this thing away from me???

Thought Haynes has been much better the last 2 games.

Young wasn’t nearly the worst last night. I am not a fan of his but he doesn’t deserve to be dropped ahead of Docherty, McGovern and Williams who all pulled out of contests on more than one occasion. Not surprising as it’s about the only thing any of them are capable of doing consistently on a football field currently. All 3 should be dropped but it’s going to be tough given how bad Moir was last night and Cowan getting injured. Lord tried hard but was pretty ineffectual also.

This really is a "meh" game....expected too win, but no real reason to get excited if we do.

More excited about heading to You AM I on the Saturday night than watching this game in the afternoon

Yeah the answer isn’t dropping a bunch of players - without having a value-add to cover.

We have to be able to get better outcomes from our list.

Is it coaching? New head of football sets the tone, better assistant support.

I can’t see them dropping Gov or Williams -given our lack of effective small forward & rebounding half backs.

We really need to remove a tall or two, I want smaller players with more run and carry.
McGovern, Kemp, Young, Haynes.... Two of those needs to go.
Docherty - I am sorry mate, a senior scalp has to go and he did not put his body on the line a few times these last two weeks.

Young, Haynes - I would get rid of those two. I would not mind Boyd and maybe a Binns styled player in the team.
McGovern if there is a viable option he could be removed as well due to poor marking and efforts.

Williams - He is on very thin ice, he picks and chooses his moments to put effort into his game style.

Outs: Gov, Doc, Cow, Young

Ins: Boyd, Harry, Carroll, Binns

Moir to sub.

Gov and Doc just have to be made an example of and please Voss and Co can we never play 4 talls in defence again. As soon as the ball hits the deck we are cooked and this also exposes us at D50 stoppages where we have been scored angainst enormously vs league averages. This mix also stifles our run, dare and creativity.

No way he's gonna drop Doc... unless they invent an injury for him, he is never going to be omitted no matter what.

Voss was talking about settling the back 6, giving them a chance to "grow"... hahaha the irony...

imo, our back 6 needs to be more balanced... get rid of the turnover merchants. Gov's kick in blunder was nothing short of embarrassing. Ollie, 15 meter pass in d50 gets cut off... seriously get these blokes the hell out of there...

Doc trying to hit a team mate surrounded by 4 opponents with a pinpoint pass in our d50... fmd... then there was the kick up the wing to I kid you not, Motlop v FOUR... it's insanity persisting with this bloke.

Haynes had a better game but fmd he's done nothing to convince anyone other than our idiotic coaches/selection panel that he needs to be out there... 1 tackle and 6 pressure acts all night when the ball was down there majority of the game... Young laid 5 tackles (2i50) and 9 pressure acts. As slow and inept as he is with his decision making... at least he is getting in there... Haynes is cooked.

Saad - Weitering - Young
Boyd - Silvagni - Carroll
Walsh - Cripps - Acres
Elijah - Harry - Williams
Motlop - Charlie - Kemp
TDK - Hewett - Cerra

White - Lord - Ollie - Fog

Sub: Moir

IN: Carroll - Boyd - Elijah - Harry
OUT: Doc - Gov - Haynes - Cowan (inj)

Not inspired by a lot of the players in that line up. I'd MUCH prefer if Harry and Elijah had to earn their call up, but at this point, they are required.

Young to the back line over Haynes... fmd... but yeah, Haynes is that bad, I just see more upside in Young back there than a 33 year old... LAST CHANCE for Young to show something (even though I know he will give more of the same)...

Fog the ghost remains unless Durdin can really show something tomorrow night.

Walsh on the wing ffs.

Ollie is on very thin ice... won't get the chop because he kicked 2 goals but the stuff he did last night... cost us more than 2... crazy...

For those wanting McGovern dropped, you are 100% justified in your position but unfortunately we are an incompetent club who accept conditional players so please for the fifth consecutive week sit back and enjoy watching Mitch squib contests, not defend and hack the ball of the ground because he can’t be bothered picking it up.
