I reckon
FOS in for RHJ

Hardeman or Phillips sub.

Archer’s not available to the vs Carlton game @ least
Wardlaw going by history he’d played VFL to cherry ripe stage
Harvey I’m really not sure if his form is good enough. Although really hope he has a good career @ North
Pink’s okay. Depends if they want Whitlock to have only one game.
Fisher & Ford, pretty sure both are injured.
Teakle it seems will only get picked if a very tall senior player’s omitted from injury.
Pink in for Whitlock as well....

I mean, there's a pattern with this now, isn't there. Bergman wasn't ready. Wawson wasn't ready. Hansen wasn't ready. Whitlock has the body of a giraffe, it's weird to bring him in even just considering that. I'm probably missing a couple from that 2020-22 era too. Our selectors are certainly not cut from the Geelong cloth, that's for sure
He will always have that neck.

Should be dropped for Maley as Ford is injured.
Unless Darling, Xerri,Larkey And Teakle are all injured that’s the only way Maley will play but remember CCJ will be back soon so it will make it difficult for him to get a game but I keep him on the list in 2026.
But in saying that too Mid Season Draft is coming up and if a big man goes down we might need another player and got feeling it will a Key Position player maybe Tomlinson as a Key Back or maybe a VFL player EG:Someone from Werribee please that walk into our side straight away.

Whitlock showed nothing. He’s too raw. Cant play. You think Camry Crows have a good forward line, fold coast are on equal level.

Zurhaar must be dropped. That 100% must happen. He’s had 2 x stinkers in a row. Must go. Enough of protecting players and Duursma with one shoulder is beyond Zurhaar, throw cam on the smoker, he’s done. He can go season up in the magoos. 3 week drop is fair.

Darling is cooked. Must be replaced.

Enough is enough
Zurhaar, probably Whitlock but Darling will stay.

Our forward line is 10 goals ahead of where its been since we had Brown and W8.... cos Darling is there helping hold a structure together.

Archer was suspended for three games. Which were the last three. He's not injured is he?

If it turns out that CCJ is getting a game ahead of Maley after he's back from injury, then Clarko should be immediately shown the door for incompetence.

There's something to be said for giving a kid a taste of the big show before they're ready, so they can go back to the 2s and know exactly where they need to get to while learning in an environment where they can grow.

Trying to forecast how this game will pan out. The neutral and somewhat unusual venue should in theory work in our favor.
If this game was played in Queensland or NT we'd be no chance to get within 6 goals. At Marvel we are obviously much better, but they'd set themselves to prove a point. Whereas the small venue that's new to both clubs does equalize things somewhat.

You would think we would show some kind of response to last week and bring intensity from get go. This won't magically fix our ball movement and defensive issues, but should at least keep us in the game till half time.

Their two away wins were against struggling opposition, and their home win last week didn't really prove much, as they struggled to dominate the game and were lucky to win it, at the ground where they normally win 90% of their games. So their form isn't as white hot as some would think.

I reckon if we are serious about showing response to last week we should be in the game all the way.

Maybe. I don't see the perennial contenders naming blokes who aren't ready for the seniors though. Who knows at this point, though, I'm not sure that NMFC operates under the normal laws of reality

In: Teakle (ruck), Will or Wardlaw, Pink, FOS
Out: Louge (piss off until you get fit), Whitlock, RHJ (absolute cat), Xerri (injured)

Fisher should be ok? (2 weeks concussion) but will be out of touch. Want him in, drop Scott for him

I'm hoping they don't rush Wardlaw in.
Iam not sure the risk of another soft tissue injury is much greater in the ones than the 2s. Its probably just because the 2nds are not taken as seriously so tou can do things like have a bloke play limited time. Having said that willphills game time this year in the ones has been pretty limited.

Sheesh he must be garbage if ccj would be standing in front of him selection wise. May as well delist him now.

Agree but I would've played him more against WCE or Tigers type of teams later in the the year.
But at least Whitlock will know the speed and quality of the AFL level I guess early.

Nah they are good. Not sure they are top 6 good, but top 8 likely. They are #4 for scores off turnovers and if its one thing we do well it's turn the ball over. If we don't defend at a high level it'll play out with a 10 goal loss.
