May I suggest next year, the admisson prices for VAFA finals should be $5 for adults (an extra $2 thrown in if you're parking the car) and $2 for pensioners and childern under 16. Re the stats that Cam Voss have put up Hampton Rovers v Oakleigh, I reckon it will probably be one of the greatest VAFA grand finals of all time (if the weather is fine). At least no players from either side have been suspended from the tribunal in the leadup to the grand final, which is a good thing. The last thing a club that is competing in a grand final needs is to go up before a tribunal to help a key player who is crucial to his club's chances of winning the flag avoid being suspended. Think back to Anthony Rocca 2003, Fraser Murphy 1986, Phil Carman 1977, just to name a few. All 3 of those players went up before the tribunal and was suspended, therefore missing the grand final. In Carman's case, he possibly cost Collingwood the chance of winning the 1977 flag.

Speaking of admission prices, who else reckons $10 is a joke? Surely this is keeping many people away from VAFA finals. I attend most of the Sandy matches there to watch the biggest head in Bayside, and entry is $9 which in itself is a joke. Not to mention the VFL finals - $15!!! How long has the VAFA been $10? $6 sounds a bit more like it.

You idiot! I would never sign off as MF. And I wouldn't know the cost of a VFL game cos we generally use the season pass or walk around to the home rooms gate. As for the VAFA charging $10.... doesn't cost when you're playing ya goose, so I'd have no cause to complain.

Still think you're a handsome bloke though.

I agree with you there Mick (can't believe you stole my nickname), as a player the club gives me a ticket for entry so no dramas there, however me old man isn't too keen on the high entry prices. But he'll be there supporting the mighty Rovers. So who do you play for Mick? Not sure if I've met you or not, obviously you've seen me before. (I'm currently in a relationship though, so don't get any ideas).

I've got to hand it to the lad. He's done a bloody good job. Just looked at his history and he's been me all year. Some of you guys really need to get a life. Now i'm not too flash on these computer things, but seriously, why sign up on internet forums as other people. Anyway as you said Half Back Pocket, enough of that, let's look at Saturday. I tell you, I've never been so pumped, cannot wait! Makes me want to get someone's mobile phone and send sms messages to everyone.

Funny! Old Man Flap is a fish @rse, but he'll be in Ocean Grove for a wedding instead of "supporting the mighty Rovers". Gonna have to work harder on your homework handsome man.
 
Not only do we congratulate both teams on making it through to the 'big one' on Saturday, we must also congratulate the umpires on their appointments to do the D1 Grand Final. To umpire a grand final is the biggest test of an umpire's career, especially in the VAFA. Guys, who's your tip to umpire the grand final on Saturday?(remember, A&B section umpires are usually appointed to do lower grades grand finals)
 
If the rovers win the GF this weekend, can jascave be banned from the premiership photo (the photo taken directly after medal presentation)??? had a look at previous GF victory photos at roverland during last round match and noticed the interchange steward in all the photos. why is he in it?? the photo should be reserved for players and coaching staff only, not the interchange steward!!

Say what you want about the current Rover team, but you can't knock the clubs history. We have won A, B, C and D grade flags throughout our 80 year history, and have won the past 3 senior flags we have participated in (95,98,01)

Stupid post, very embarrassing actually. I don't know Uncle Mick to be honest but I do know Hampton have always been a great club to play against and a great bunch of boys to have a beer with. Blokes like Chief and Lakey are tremendous guys. All the best to them on the weekend. For what it is worth I will tip Hampton by 41 points.

Another stupid post. This bloke jascave has so much passion for his club that he has every right to be in the Premiership Photo if they win. I know how hard it is to get reliable people to do jobs every week and to have a member who cares enough to be an interchange steward is fabulous. Good on ya Jas, keep up the great work and don't listen to the knockers. All the best everyone. It is time for me to head off to the D2 Forum but hopefully only for a year.

Two tonne's a bit rich. Maybe a couple of years ago, but I'm not the size of the house I once was. And I don't profess to be any measure of authority on the game champ. Just someone who genuinely believes I've got something to offer a club I'm proud to be represent in whatever capacity necessary.
I must say I'm flattered that I can bring out so much passion in such an anonymous individual.

For a club that falters when it really counts there seems to be a lot of premiership photos down at the Boss. Would like to think we'll add to that tonight & tomorrow.


As for melblad02. You are an A grade moron if you believe Jason isn't worthy of being in the photo. His passion for the club and the competition is second to none. Any club would love to have a man of his commitment and would welcome him in any club photo - be it a premiership one or not.


Kudos to the 2 of you though. You drew a reaction. Now bugger off back to myspace and online dating.
