How many chances did Thomas have? it's a bad comparsion everyone knows Balta has made a poor decision.

Clearly it won’t change. What would be more unbiased would be posters from your club acknowledging his terrible behaviour and not making excuses for it, and considering the ramifications of him continuing to play AFL this year.

Honestly, I hope he goes to jail. Still likely to happen.

No, it isn't a fair question.

Thomas was a repeat offender who offended again when on an AFL and police mandated behavioural plan.

If they cannot understand the differences between this and what Thomas did, everyone in Thomas' camp have failed him, and Tarryn has learnt nothing.

I'd suggest the chance of that would be zero. Would obviously fall apart rather quickly when another player goes down injured early on, and even without that chance it's not going to happen.

Probably a fair sentence given the circumstances, I don't hate the curfew part of the sentence, it's there to act as a deterrent. No doubt Balta will pull his head in and move on, least it occured in a year Richmond don't care too much if they win, a few wins are just a bonus on the top.

The average bloke on the street would be probably very fortunate to not get some time, Balta pled guilty that's fantastic but lets not pretend this wasn't extremely serious and it could have ended even worse. Ends up being what 10 games missed in a year you guys don't care too much about winning (it's great if you win 2-4 games or so for team building) it's just about building for the future.

He will appeal this so he can simply work in his job just like any other person could.
I have no doubt the appeal will be granted also. His job is an AFL footballer, he should be able to work.
