Rubbish, he stands back and is second to the ball. I agree with all of that, but that’s certainly not the case with miersAs I said before, players opting for a level of self preservation over needlessly putting their head or body in a dangerous position that risks concussion or injury shouldn't be seen as a negative
We've seen the AFL attempt to take a stand on issues around concussion and actions that result in another player being concussed
As part of that, maybe we also need to start changing the discussion around players approach to the contest and that just because a player doesn't put their head over the ball doesn't make them weak or a wuss
