May has already flown to Vic so you’d assume McCarthy is in WA ready for training tomorrow or at least WAFL training when ever that is.

Too many mids? We had one running around in the WAFL last week.

The assumption is the Eagles like McCarthy at half back, where he has played this year.

Chesser coming back helps but where does Mini play him?

On one of the interviews McCarthy did he was asked about where he’d be watching the draft from - said he planned to be watching it from his home with about 30 or so family and friends

Assume he arrives in WA tomorrow

Word I heard is he was on a flight for Thursday morning and will be playing WAFL this weekend.

MaCarthy has to play 30 games a season to reach 200 game?! Is it possible?

If this guy is going to be a club legend we have mere hours remaining to start off right with the spelling of his name - McCarthy. We can’t just go repeating the crimes on this board with half of you campaigners still spelling Hewett wrong 3 years later

You realise one of the guys you quoted kept referring to our number 7 as “Marsden” right up to the end of his career, and beyond?

Unless home = MRP and friends and family = the rest of the playing squad plus Daddy McQualter

Don Pyke said on the Eagles pod last week we went to the AFL and requested that time slot for WA Day and are hoping to keep it. Similar to Freo always request ANZAC day at home. And all the Vic teams request every national public holiday game.

We hope to make it our own. I believe it’s a channel 7 national game too. Sponsors ect would love that.

Could’ve at least gave us North, Saints, Bombers or Richmond (colours wouldn’t work) to ease us into making it our own day.
Thanks for the info! :thumbsu:

Well McCarthy said on SEN yesterday he was going to watch the draft live at home with about 30 people.
So that doesn't seem to be the case.
