Geelong to win the Premiership/Norm Smith/Coleman/Brownlow quadruple crown in 2025 and thereby complete a total whitewash of the opposition - a unique achievement in footy history.

Nah, that's not outrageous :D
You forgot rising star.

Imagine we do that AND THEN Reid announces he wants Geelong.

Terrible at running to the right spots.

But thats not the only element of being a foward.

He has a couple of best on grounds as a foward this season. His game against the pies is arguably the best game played by anyone this season. And he was a foward.
Is he terrible at running to the right spots? He has been in a key forwards leading lane a couple of times but usually when he gets the football it ends up in a score. He's going at at 2.7 goals/goal assists and 6 score involvements per completed game. Not many forward pockets, third talls or flankers are doing that this season.

If he knew where and when to lead danger would be like ablett 1993-95.

I disagree. He's getting to the right areas and ground ball game remains elite. He is currently nowhere near as good at clunking marks as Ablett was. He is also playing as a roaming forward pocket, not the primary full forward. Cameron/Neale are playing the late career Ablett role. Dangerfield is closer to (a taller) Chappy.

Mr Meow: Danger forward 2025 is a different player, in fact his learning to become a real team man within the forwardline group, similar to his 2022 grand final performance, unselfishly setting up plays but rather being on-ball it's now forward and 'I love it'. Yesterday's game against the Bombers was a great example with our forward-line developing some real chemistry and Danger is a 'key ingredient' to that.

Danger has so much gravity that he pull players to cover him in excess of his influence, given that Cameron doesn't do a lot of the traditional KPF stuff, Danger acts often as the anchor that the oposition KPD base their structure off. It is a small part of how our structure creates the space that our ground level smalls move through.

It helps that the oppostion respects him a lot, Neale is the opposite, the opposition give him way too much space to do his thing. They'll be a feedback loop, as Neale starts to prove his reliabity, our guys will start kicking it to him more often, the opposition will start to give him more attention as a result. Which might then free up Danger again. Henry out opens up a lot of space.

Good points Lana: which makes you think Ollie Henry needs to add more to his game to be of greater value to side. But yeah, the contested ball coming in has been an issue and Danger changes that dynamic in so many ways. Shannon Neale for all his inexperience is gradually by the game making excellent progress although his marking is still a slight issue, especially with his technique. But it's great to see him have such a superb kicking action which going forward could make a difference. Also, the chemistry among all the forwards is really starting to take shape with Danger playing a vital role. I was very keen on us performing well this year and as it's shaping, I couldn't have asked for more from the players and coaches with everyone contributing. Just wish Toby Conway (I'm a fan) could have had a fair crack but Rhys Stanley is doing an awesome job and Toby's good times will come in time. Another shout out to Mark O'Connor as I'm just rapt with him taking his game to another level in recent times with another excellent performance yesterday against the Bombers.

Holmes and Smith will break the record for the most Brownlow votes received by teammates in the one season (the record is 61 by Cripps and Sam Walsh last year).

Was that like 60 to Cripps and Walsh picked up a sympathetic single vote somewhere

I think they have to accept that he doesn't have the size or raw athleticism to be a tall option ahead of the ball. He can't be a Max Rooke or Gary Rohan. I feel like he is at the same crossroads that Miers was before he started playing as a high half forward. Fans can get seduced by few years of unstainable goals by a younger player. Some teams opposition analysis is going to find the weakness and week in week out clubs pick at it until someone finds the best way to exploit it.
If he is to spend time in the VFL I don't want him anywhere near the forward line. I think he weakness are getting involved in possesion chains and groundball gets. I want him to learn to play as ball collecting small, a few games off half back being a distributor, then the rest as an inside mid at the bottom of packs. Not that I see him playing either roles. I'd turn him into a wingman. He needs to be more comfortable being involved when the ball is on open play, before it could work at AFL level. With the extra space and a smaller opponenet he'll find it easier to get seperation, we could always use a Menegola style bailout kick option.
