McLachlan 8 touches, a speccy and an intercept mark. Will build his confidence. Might not be a regular starter but slowly but surely getting better.

I don't believe either of Charlie's out on the full shots were from hard running. I'm sure the second was from scrapping for the ball from congestion and having a blind shot pivoting over the shoulder, and I think the first was from something similar.Lots of our play last night was exciting to watch just like some of our best last year.
You have to be fairly brave to regularly go inside on that narrow ground.
McCluggage was great at this last night and a few others also.
An off kick and you just about concede a goal to the Cats.
It really was a great team effort.
Two of our KPF did not kick a goal but rarely got out marked. The other kicked 5.1 replicating the same score as last week.
Charlie had 2 hard running shots on goal, both out on the full so did not affect his accuracy %, but played well in other arears. A much better effort.
Rayner the bull and Bailey the elusive that did not get caught this week.
Ten marks to Andrews and Berry and 10 tackles to Dunkley
Tackles inside 50 a huge improvement Lions 12 Cats 7
Lions got to 110 marks (Cats 81) but last night it was a quicker ball movement from that point. Way quicker than the last few games.
The heat map is very telling on how the Lions restricted the Cats to the boundary while our possessions was concentrated in the middle and both wings. I can't get this on my PC anymore so unable to put it up here.

Hard running a wrong choice of words.I don't believe either of Charlie's out on the full shots were from hard running. I'm sure the second was from scrapping for the ball from congestion and having a blind shot pivoting over the shoulder, and I think the first was from something similar.
However I give Charlie proper credit for a change in attitude this whole game. It was noted by the commentators that Charlie had an off night in terms of shots on goal, but he was a big energizer bunny and cheerleader on field for all his team mates.
Sunny Land must have had a good talk to Charlie during the week about his on field attitude.
The pressure is always a factor i agreeHe also probably looked better because we actually put pressure on up the ground.
Yes atmosphere behind the goals was fabulous. Loved when Rayner gave us a clap for our support at one stage during the game. What an experience being at the game live last night. Atmosphere awesome in the lions end behind the goals. What i took out of the game last night was how Brisbane were not rushed or just blazed away with disposal. We just held onto the ball just that little longer to make better decisions by hand and foot that cut geelong up so many times.
Yes was a fun game to go to.. Those waving the white flag from the start vs those cheering and having a great night.Yes atmosphere behind the goals was fabulous. Loved when Rayner gave us a clap for our support at one stage during the game.
. Played well, real well. Forward fifty entries and work rate of our forwards was top notch. Harris 'The Wall' down back was massive. Our next game will really tells us where we are at. Can we maintain the rage or drop off again. Shame about Payne, would have been handy come finals. A tall forward line could be our Achilles heal at the moment.Lachie did have an upper leg issue last night. He had a little grab at it in the first half, and had a heat wrap on it at half time.I do wonder if Neale is carrying something though... his output has been down for a little while now. Clug has been getting the tag at times too so it seems a little odd...
Yes on the love for Wilmot and Jaspa.Bit of love for Willmot. He and Jaspa are silky smooth.
BTW did anyone’s Kayo video splutter and fart in the 4th qtr?
Very nice of them to provide the opposition with "we surrender" flags to wave in the air prior to the match.Amusingly Cotton On covered the cost of the 40k white t shirts.
We’ve got a long way to go to match the cats’ rortz. Still the GOAT.
Ruck frees are a lottery in every game, most of the time even the 2 ruckmen look bewildered as to which of them is getting the free kick. And the tiny question: what was Darcy Fort getting the frees for? With most of them, I actually couldn't tell. As Lions fan were they the kind of ones you were calling for as soon as you saw them? TIA.
I’m super impressed you waited so long to wait for the salt to flow from your eyes. Well done to you.I do have the ulterior motive of a tiny question, but
- Super impressed with the physicality of Cam Rayner in particular. Always thought that was a knock on him. A couple of times he really threw himself in, which is good because he has the physique to do it.
- I'll leave it up to you to discuss whether Hipwood deserves to be on the chopping block, but for now I'd say Logan Morris is The Future.
- In order for Geelong to find a way to beat you, it actually isn't about finding a way around Harris Andrews, but about the player who Brisbane trust to act as the second element of the defensive wall. Last night it was Lester. In round 3 it was Payne. I'd also like to play you in a game where Tom Stewart isn't injured in the first quarter, too.

Yeah, both rucks cheat at every contest, but if the ump only sees one of them infringing, he’s beholden to penalise them.
Ruck contests are a blight on the game.
Yuk. Gotta have some sort of finesse.Just penalize high contact and let them go at it.
