I cannot be bothered doing the homework.. but I'd love to see the massive drop off in Cripps stats right before Bolton, Teague and Malthouse were sacked.

The guy has killed more coaches than any other player in AFL history, and 2025 will likely mark the 7th coach he has played for.

Apart from a 10 game run in 2023 his captaincy has been nothing short of embarassing.

I think he's probably as fed up as the supporters after busting a gut and seeing us regressing. It's not like he's recruiting or strategizing. We backed our coach in and this is payday.

• Curnow Brothers invite entire playing group to their wellness centre for well-earned relaxation, a spot of personal pampering, and inner reflection on their 2025 'journey' so far?
• Voss rescues cat from tree?

We've got old heads that are nowhere near their best. Players that are barely hanging on each week with injuries.

We have a good core, some real talent coming through.

Get a good game plan and drilled structure in place and things can change very very quickly

I wish I shared the same optimism with this group...

From what I've seen, their attitude stinks.

Sure, bring in a new coach, new system... they'll get on board, but it'll just be another sugar hit I'm afraid...

Journos were asking tougher questions, which was good.. They are starting to smell blood.

Being at the game, for the first 3 quarters our senior players looked disinterested, like they were trying to lose. Hope Voss hasn’t lost the group.

I'm afraid , not being part of the 'sack the coach' every 2nd loss brigade, that it just may be so.... but Im hanging on to the spray he gave them at 3/4 time where we had the best last qtr of the year.

I'm tinkering with the thought that Jsos should be Skipper next year. Never gives up, gives everything he has, limited as it may be, and romantically, makes the family dynasty even stronger.

Have said to my mates after a few losses this year, and again today, it really looks like playing a game of footy is the last thing a lot of our blokes want to be doing.
Their body language, facial expressions, lack of energy & effort, etc,etc.....looks like they just CBF playing.
One thing I liked about Matty Owies (apart from 60 goals in 2 seasons) was the jumper tug and/or the pointing to the monogram after kicking a goal. It meant something to him.
'Overpaid & under performing' should be our membership motto for next year.
Soft as butter in the midday sun this lot.

Im not sure that stacks up. Cripps was 2nd in the AFLCA when Bolton was sacked and 2nd in the rising star the year malthouse was sacked. He was rubbish in Teagues last year but also the year before.

Utter disgrace. This was the first footy game my boys attended this year, and many other families would also be in the same boat.

Imagine seeing your team down by 40 points, and kicking 2 goals to half time.

Asked my boy if he had fun today. "No, because Carlton was bad."
I said, "But the chips and the train ride were fun right?" "Yes"

Similar to my day. Kids were not impressed by the footy. 13 year old(second live game ever) sad and angry, 8 year old(first live game ever) was bored that the kangaroos were kicking all the goals. Both enjoyed the hotdogs

I seem to remember Charlie doing that an awful lot too, but not this year and not for a while too

It wasn't even 1 year.

It was 3 months of decent football.

We were in 15th spot on the ladder after Rd 15 FFS.

Today is who we are and have been the entirety of Voss's tenure.

It was a bit more than 3 months. We won 22 out of 28 games between the Gold Coast win in 2023 and the GWs loss in 2024. If we did that during a calendar year then we’ve probably won a flag, at the very least Top 2. The drop off since then has been disastrous. This season since about the 20 minute mark of the second quarter in round one has been a complete abomination.

Absolute shitfest of a performance. Worst part imo was when North turned up the physical pressure in the 2nd and 3rd quarters our overpaid senior players went missing. Curnow, Cripps and Weitering were embarrassing.
Gut the list and start again.

Ok then I hope you look forward to the next 3-4 years of 4-6 game winning seasons.
