Hopper and prestia with 19 each is unacceptable. Hopper is 28 in the prime of his career and he cannot compete with the likes of richards and libba. Not good enough

Why sub out Sonsie? He was having a crack and was far from our worst. Sub out either Hopper or Prestia and show faith in Sonsie and make him work hard as a midfielder for a game.

When your two best mids taking you forward are Taranto and Hopper then you start behind the 8 ball each week. They try hard, and they are important right now, but they are slow, have poor skills, no hurt factor at all and iwith the speed and cleanness of the modern game, they are our achilles heel.

And Balta was given a task, and was in la la land guarding the potential best forward in the league. Should have been Miller who did a great job on Richard Simmons.

I agree, Balta has regressed alarmingly past couple of seasons. I recall a 2023 game at Marvel when he gave Max King the same leg-rope he gave Darcy today and got pantsed. I think he's a good player in a contending strong team and a poor player in a rebuilding team. He's all confidence with no consistently competitive benchmark.

Yesterday Gibcus, Armstrong and Lalor did a huge session.

Smillie was there, but didn't train at all after not training Thursday. It's looking like he's had another re-injury :S

He needs to pull his finger out. Miller has gone past him, Gray looks very promising, Blight is getting BOGs every week in the VFL and Gibcus is only a couple of weeks away.

Just need to practice our kicking for goal, marking, handball accuracy, staying in the contest and tackling. Then we need to get a bit fitter, faster, stronger and more experienced and we'll be on our way.

Faull needs to use that tacky, sticky stuff on his hands and not grease

Positive:
- Moving Balta onto Naughton in the last to play him into some form. Will help with stopping pies/cats winning the flag.

Negatives:

• DONT DEBUT KIDS AS THE SUB. About the only thing that will make me angry enough to not renew a membership.
• Selection Integrity... This is a running joke right? If the club wants to move forward it needs to check its ego and start making the changes that the performances demand.
• Front row for the Davidson show. Yeh an outside runner isn't a need for us. Still laughing at the posters thinking he wouldn't be getting a game in that side today.
• D50 exits.. wait, wait, wait. Ok they've setup down the line, let's kick it long to their talls. Make it make sense.
• Goalkicking- can we not afford a goalkicking coach with all these digital bricks?

Not too bad.

I felt most of our problems came from a lack of pace in the midfield. The times nank did hit our mids they swarmed us two on one and the ball went straight out the front of the contest. Everything possession after that we fall further out of the contest.

Faull, kicking aside, was good. Lynch, kicking aside was good.

Sonsie and smith wasted another opportunity and were poor.

Banks and Brown were probably my most disappointing though. They are stepping up to play big roles and provide rebound out of defense but they missed targets far too often. Hope they bounce back next week.
