Agree with a few others.

Butters should be the one.

Genuine star, has a hard edge, leg speed.

He’d be absolutely unreal next to LDU and Wardlaw and suits our midfield mix.

We probably have the currency also, and just about anything we could offer would be worth it.

Breakout the watchest.

I’d be looking at Aleer also.

2 x F1 or a F1 and Goad (most people know how much I rate Goad, I’d be wanting a pick around 10-15 for him if a SA club came knocking) and one of our R2 picks for Aleer is what I’d be targeting.
Going to dogs. Would be very surprised if 2 x F1 picks gets it done imo.

Geez, I haven't. No topline speed, shit in the air, average kick.

Some would say he's the prototype North Melbourne footballer, but I'm not falling for that again
Sort of a north player that his first few years were his best - has stagnated big time

Subconsciously winning that type of game plays with perception a bit. Win a few more showing energy, promise and ability to take out a higher opponent and you never know whose head you might turn.
This is the entire game for the rest of the year.

Play well enough to make players and managers sit up and go, they’re on the rise and they have coin go there.

Beat who we should and take a scalp.

Have a spell. Calling me clueless when you're spouting stats to prove his defensive ability that clearly doesn't pass the eye test. There's plenty of examples from just this weekend. Efforts that if he wasn't in D50 wouldn't directly result in goals.

I’ve watched the replay. Let me know what I’ve missed 👍

They have powerful, athletic runners coming out of their ears.

They also have an almost flushed list. Great mids, HBs, KPFs, rucks, smalls.

Their underachieving will go down as one of the biggest crimes in AFL history.
Yep. Dogs really only need key defenders. They may target Dovaston in the draft if Weightman is suspect long term.

We need to be able to show Butters that we are heading in the right direction to sway him to come to us. Money isnt an issue as we have plenty, however, changing his mind if he wants to go to somewhere he has in mind will be. If we could get enough picks to entice Port to part with him plus maybe a player of lesser value to us, like Scott, then we should go all out. If this was the only trade we did l would be happy with it..

Don't know about the big Moose down back. Seems a bit slow of mind.

You'd need to have a look at VFL level first.
He could do it. Moose is one of the stories of the year.

Imagine coming into this thread last year and saying this, especially after a 23 disposal, 1Goal, 9 Mark game?

You'd be called a Lunatic, probably rightfully.

He's getting to the point, where we just need to find spot for him, a genuine tall, hard, good-marking utility.

I think perhaps you need to be reminded of how well Geelong and Collingwood are doing with their decrepit lists…in this scenario, Jy will be 28 and LDU 27, still firmly in their prime.
I think we're potentially arguing the same point then, because as you say, those clubs are examples of how important good senior players are. This has been our issue the past 5-6 years, our poor senior core. You don't agree that there are question marks over the longevity of the guys I mentioned?

Darling, Parker, Corr probably McDonald (and possibly Tucker if he gets delisted) are the only players on that list who couldn't play till 2029/30.

Logue, Fisher and Daniel are all under 30 and the first two were drafted in the same draft as Jy, Souv and Zurhaar. If those 2016 guys do learn from Parker and Darling and can stay on the park then we'll have some good long term leadership.

My issue with Logue, Fisher and Daniel is not their age.
