For all those hating Jones being an option, Nicks went with Murphy instead!!!!

Murphy to get 10-12 touches, kick 0.1 and have a few tackles is my bet. It will be a typical murphy game UNLESS, there is an absolute avalanche of ball coming into our forward line and his stats pad out purely by the dint that the ball is camped inside our attack most of the game.

We know exactly what he brings - we have seen over 100 games of it at this level..

There's only one way Murphy becomes displaced from the team.....

Unfortunately he doesn't get close enough to the ball to warrant any body contact.
That's not so. Murphy goes in as hard as any player on our list. He's not an AFL standard footballer and there's the problem.

We're playing the 17th ranked team

He'll smell a best 22 spot moving forward

Just got to get 15 touches and 2 goals here

No unforced changes? Backing the boys in again?

Nicks almost has to be trolling at this point. No coach can this be incompetent, surely?
If we win
"Boys deserve to keep their spot after a good win."

If we lose
"Boys deserve to keep their spot and respond to a loss."

Rinse and repeat.

Yeah you're right...he gets the ball so regularly sometimes I confuse him with Ben Cousins.
His average of 3 tackles a game for a small forward is right up there with the best of them.
No matter how many possessions or tackles he completes he does not lack courage, which was the erroneous point to your post.

What a bunch of joyless .....
We're fourth on the ladder.
Will you be complaining when we cop a few injuries and have to play debutants? We're 4th on the back of a nice draw and bugger all injuries. But sure, just take it at face value if you like

I saw Murphy on Impey a bunch, but lets just pretend he was only on Amon.....

Amon - 17 disposals, 509 metres gained (4th on the ground), 3rd for Hawks for R50's.

Murphy - 11 touches, 147 metres gained, 0 goals, 0 points, 0 goal assits, 4 kicks, 48.7% DE.

So how are you still defending Murphy?

You saw him on Impey a bunch, well I must have been wrong or……….

Go back and watch the replay and list the specific times that Murphy was on Impey.

I wasn’t suggesting that Murphy played a cracker, I just find it amusing that people can make up shit and eventually it becomes the TRUTH.

Dude give it up - Murphy isnt in there to kick goals, he's a defensive forward. We got done by 400,000 disposals from their half backs. Thats on Murphy and ANB. Rash and Keays are there to create.

Are you actually capable of posting anything other than a whinge?
God forbid we actually want our team to contend and not just be ok during the minor round, but when issues arrive such injuries that we don’t have people to turn to because we’ve stuck with the same players that let us down time and time again.

Sure, that's good, I enjoy winning, but I want to win it all and we've seen this playbook before from multiple coaches. We rely on so few to do the work in the name of "consistency" and eventually it comes to bite us in the ass at the pointy end of the year.

Even more frustrating that Nicks fell into this trap multiple times in the past years and rather than learning from it he's instead doubling down as hard as he can in a desperate move to keep his job.

The not-so-good-player remains in the bowl.

Actually hope we lose to the tigers..

Not that it would change anything. The whole club needs its conservative ******* mentality burnt to the ground.
This is absolute stupidity. You aren’t a supporter.

Our inability to rotate the squad and give guys more exposure will be one of our downfalls come later in the year when injuries and fatigue strikes. Complacency also setting in. The lack of selection integrity is infuriating.
THIS I agree with.
