Too often, fans put a premium on meaningless possession counts instead of actual impact. For a decade, they'd use the fact that Cyril only got 10 touches in a game as justification for calling him overrated, completely ignoring how he could shift the momentum or change the dynamic of a match with just a handful of moments.

We just see the game differently.

Bizarre stuff from Nick Dal Santo regarding the SCG pitch. Says that the surface was nowhere near good enough but that the solution is for the players to simply not fall over.

Genius! Wish I’d thought of that.

You can see why he’s in the media and we’re not.

He remains Saints AFLW coach, but is clearly the worst coach in that league and remains a coach because he's presumably cheap, easy to manage and rewarding a club legend.

Yep. I never understand why ice skaters fall over given how shiny their skates are.

The ground was like this, then again Tom didn’t fall over.

How could Geelong have 33 more goals than us when our points for, are clearly the highest in the league
The table was only for set shots.

"Forget 'flat-track bullies' - the Dogs are the AFL's most watchable team, and we should all hope they reach September
There’s something almost magical about watching a team turn complexity into choreography, and right now, the Western Bulldogs are the purest embodiment of that spellbinding ease. Take Sam Darcy’s effortless brilliance last weekend—a towering figure moving like a midfielder, catching a mark and firing off a lightning handball in a single, fluid motion that shouldn’t be physically possible. It won’t feature on highlight reels, but it captured the essence of a side that makes football look like art. The Bulldogs’ style is hypnotic—Marcus Bontempelli flows across the field like water slipping through fingers, Bailey Dale leaves vapor trails in his wake, and Ed Richards invents and adapts with minimalist brilliance. Joel Freijah glides, Tim English and Aaron Naughton elevate athleticism to poetry, and even Rory Lobb, once maligned, is now soaring around the backline with box-office charisma. When these Dogs switch on, you can’t look away—massive wins that would normally bore fans into changing the channel instead become unmissable performances. But here’s the rub: no matter how dazzling, they’re still dogged by the label of “flat track bullies,” punishing the weak yet faltering against the true contenders. That reputation, however, doesn’t hold up to scrutiny this season. Close and courageous losses to top teams—Collingwood, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Geelong—all away from Marvel, and often without Bontempelli, suggest a team much closer to greatness than the ladder reflects. Had they won just two of those, they’d be hunting second place. Instead, they hover in the middle of the finals zone—dangerous, dazzling, yet still needing to prove their steel. Their upcoming fixture list is favorable, with Marvel matchups against September hopefuls like Adelaide, GWS and Fremantle potentially propelling them into the top four, while softer clashes against the likes of Essendon, North Melbourne and West Coast should bolster their percentage. A looming trip to the Gabba and, more pressingly, a showdown with Sydney at the SCG this Friday could define their season. Win, and everything is on the table. Lose, and it’s another year of wondering what could’ve been. For lovers of the game, neutrals craving a thrilling September, and romantics who believe style should count for something—this team deserves a deep finals run. Because when the Dogs play like this, football is not just a sport—it’s theatre. #WesternBulldogs #AFL2025 #SamDarcy #Bontempel#westernbulldogsA#AFL2025H#SamDarcyl#bontempellid#FootyMagicd#AFLFinalsHopesm#BulldogsUnleashedf#MarvelStadiumMomentum#GameStyleGoals#DogsOfSeptember

I suspect that the recent dinner he had with Bevo got a little out of hand and that Bevo has the photographic evidence.

Im not saying that Diddy was involved, but Im also not saying that Diddy wasn't involved.

Only for him to say Bevo can't coach when we don't win the premiership with the best list

Thats the sense I get from Kanes recent hoping aboard the hype train.

We've been at this station before with his best list in the comp analysis. He's setting us up for a fall and hours of content if we dont win it all.

Its always heads I win. Tails you lose with Kane.

He has a devious calculative mind Kane, he's one of those people that it shows on his facial expressions and reactions. Watching him is like reading a little Golden book. Id meet someone like him and dismiss him within minutes from my life. He's in the same boat in my opinion in that way like Tony Jones. Everything they are is written all over their faces.

3 of the top 4 players in Jay Z’s top 50, and Kane Cornes saying this morning we are the premiership favourite.

World gone crazy
I think around round 3 or 4 he was saying we really don't have much coming back in terms of players from injury and that we are in big trouble this year. Wish someone would hold him to account.
